Interesting idea. I knew there used to be digital notepads but the digital notepad movement died years ago.

    Have you used one geo?

The price is about average for an A4 generic version.

I think these are an awesome idea for work
Is it a brand at all Geo78?

it's Medion (Aldi's brand) with 1 year warranty. not sure how good it is, but you can always try it (while stocks last :) ) and then return it within 60 days if you don't like it...but looks nice, a cheaper option for those who cannot afford tablet pc.

I have just checked the link and it just seems to go to the front page of Aldi
I have seen that you can pick up an A5 version for around $140 and they do have others listed on staticice for $160 ie the A4 ones
No hot vote for me I am afraid

unfortunately i cannot get the direct link to it, but if you have a look at the specials for 22 nov you will find it there...i guess if you can have it for a trial from aldi with no extra postage it might be good a try...

i used to have one...it was called a digimate or something like this.

I found it to be very gimicky, and that I did not use it much beyond the initial wow factor/honeymoon period of a few weeks.

They did work surprisingly well though, but I would be surprised how many people that have brought them are still using them today.

    Anyway just my 2 cents

yours has only 8mb memory, not 32mb as aldi's. it doesn't accept SD card memory extension and cannot convert your handwritting to TXT. ut it's cheaper by $15...

    8mb memory, not 32mb

you are right about the memory

yeah the one that is on special on the AusPC site is the exact same one i got. The one i got was ACECAD DIGIMEMO A501 I purchased mine in January 05 for $148.50 from Instant IT.

It does not look like they have come down in price much if any!

Ouch...sold it on Ebay in August 06 for $93 (inc delivery). I lost a mint purchasing that...doh, did not need the reminder!!!

thats barely a change? In fact didn't you pay less than what they are asking now 2 years down the track?

I paid $13 postage, so basically about the same price to what you can buy them now for in Aldi.
