ok guys, if your going to vote cold on deals you must give a reason why, please at least let the member know why you don't like the deal.

BTW - You can't hide we know who you are

    TIA

    :)

oooh, go on LIP - out them!!! :)
  • ScarletRubies2008/03/12 18:44:53
Darn it - my edit isn't working still and I meant LP, not LIP! :(
  • lilpretzel2008/03/12 18:54:03
Sorry ruby, you will have to wait and see.

    :whistling:

Now what did you do to your edit button? Where it out :p
  • ScarletRubies2008/03/12 19:18:11
    LOL! Where we're wear? :D

I don't know what's wrong with my buttons.... they are only virtual buttons after all. I can't believe I am the only one with broken buttons. I demand a discount for the reduced functionality of this site! :p

if your going to vote cold on deals you must give a reason why

I dont remember that being in the T&C's when i joined up.

Cold votes are for when i dont think a deal is warm or hot. :p

Anywways if you must have a reason.... much nicer (inc fake brand name) cases can be bought on ebay for roughly the same amount. :D

"You are free to vote cold or hot, whichever you choose. Buckscoop is a democracy.
However, if voting cold, it is good forum etiquette to put a brief reason in the thread as to why. For example, if you feel that it is not a good deal, and you have found the same model elsewhere at a cheaper price. Please do not just vote cold. Adding a brief comment explaining your vote, and if possible, a link to the better deal, helps us all. There are several other valid reasons for cold voting, but a brief explanation is a courtesy to the original poster, who may have no idea why their offering has been voted cold, and is left feeling confused and bewildered."

Therefore this thread was clearly not intended for myself as i no longer considered myself a newb.

For future reference i would like to make it clear that have my own etiquette, and therefore cannot be held accountable for my voting. :p

Edit: However i do apologise to lisss for any bewilderment caused. This was not my intention. :)

I think that the hot/cold voting option is going to start causing much more havoc in the forum in the future.

    Why is that?

Scatman, you're a twit! :) AND I checked you join date - I was gonna have a dig at you if it was post 17 Oct!

I think so long as people keep a sense of humour and behave exactly as I think they should, all will be fine.

When all is said and done this is a democracy and people can vote exactly how they wish. But what we all need to keep in mind is that Buckscoop is designed to be a resource for the average consumer.
If a member finds something that they think is good value and posts it in the forum all the other members can then add their opinion or comment.
Voting hot or cold is a basic way to indicate if you think the deal is a good one.... or not
Member comments on deals are also super valuable. If you think the deal is not a good one cos you know you can buy it elsewhere for less, then advising your fellow Buckscoopers is what the community is all about :)
The more input we all have the better the resource becomes ... so ultimately it is your choice to comment or vote ...

    off my soaopbox now :)
