I have this laptop, and on vista it is a bit sluggish at times even with 4gb.. I think it is due to the video card and aero. I recommend getting the XP pack if you are going to get this. Vista is VERYYY nice on it but it does come at the price of responsiveness.

up the specs and/or include 22"monitor to spend just over $1500 to get 10% discount with

    39131cc55486

which will bring the price back down to around $1350ish

It would be nice if some of those 20% vouchers turned up this weekend!

Any idea how long these deals last?

Does getting Vista Business come with automatic downgrade rights or does it have to be explicitly stated as part of the package?
  • sandgroper2008/06/07 00:00:23
Rights are automatic with Vista Business and Ultimate, but thats the only 2 vista flavours that have it.

Depends on the discount code and whether its an error / special.

Sandy should be able to tell you more accurately.

Dells deals normally last a week with new offers each Thursday.

This Vostro 1500 15% off deal is limited to a number of units but they are not saying how many so it could end anytime.

They will be introducing a replacement Vostro 1510 next week I guess when the 1500 will be no longer available.

Vostro 1510 is already available now (i have one). The 1500 series will be sold in parallel with the 1510 until the 1500 stock is gone.

Any difference in spec other than the name change to Vostro 1510?
