I must say I've often looked at expencive pillows and alot don't seem any better than the cheap ones :(

When I win lotto (lol) I'm going to go to see someone who can tell me what sort of pillow I should be using then pay through the nose for it ;) :)

Pillows for people with neck and back problems (as my hubby can tell you) can be a personal choice, but for the rest of us I agree Keeys. Since I change them more often these days for hygiene and health reasons don't want to be spending too much and I don't find any real difference either.

This is a great price, I swear by my feather down pillows but for the kids and visitors this is what I would buy.

To make them last that little bit longer grab a pillow case protector from the cheapie shop fpr $2 ;)

Polyester filling is a man-made product. Polyesters have the advantage of being inexpensive and can be manufactured into a variety of shapes and support levels. Polyester cannot be easily cleaned (as can feather and down) and is therefore considered a more disposable item.

The main advantage in a feather and down pillow is a totally natural product where the filling moulds to your head and neck thus providing support where it is needed most. Many chiropractors recommend feather and down pillows. A feather and down pillow can last for 10 to 20 years. The filling can be rejuvenated and topped up (not possible with man-made fibres) or the pillow re-cased.

This would be great except that with 2 allergy sufferers in the family can't use feather or down. Had a huge reaction while on holiday one year because I didn't realise the doona/duvet had down in it. So we have no choice but to use the polyester ones.

Just got back from Safeway and they had one pillow on sale for $5.95 and a single Tontine (well-known brand) for $6.95, so Target deal looks good when I get round to it.
Both these ones said washable so hopefully the Target ones are too, to make them last that wee bit longer.
