Spend $80 and get 10cents a litre off Fuel

Now I know that these vouchers are pretty common when you go shopping but I thought it might be good to start a thread where people can post about the lastest petrol deals. The cost of fuel is so high that any little saving is very much appreciated. And since we are all spending a fortune at the shops.. there should not be a shortage of fuel discounts around.
And it is a nice easy place if you are looking for somewhere to post your first comment!

Here goes... spend $80 at BigW, Woolworths Supermarket or Liquor, Safeway supermarket or Liquor from 8th Dec to the 24th of Dec 2006 and receive a voucher for 10 cents of every litre of fuel - a great saving!
You need to purchase the fuel within 28 days of the docket date and buy the fuel at certain service stations - Caltex Woolworths or Safeway.
So make sure you check your dockets carefully and if you find any other deals please post a comment.

A slight alternative is http://www.aussiefuelauction.com/index. From what I understand highest bid wins. I have no idea how bodgy this site is but its an interesting idea if its legit.

It is actually highest UNIQUE bid. And it costs you everytime you place a bid.

There are many so-called "auction sites" like this in Australia, but to me they are no more than a form of gambling. Not a real bargain...

I saw the blurb on WP about the cost of bidding - what is it 50 cents. Pretty steep. Would be a cash cow for the people who run it if it takes off.

What do you mean by unique? I didn't go through the details on the site.

There is a real proliferation over here. I was trying to figure out the other day why the Australian market would have so many when others like the UK don't. I know Oztion were having a hard time getting sign ups for a while but haven't heard any more on it since mid last month. You'd have a pretty good idea of why they are sprouting up - your thoughts ?
