Samsung Galaxy SII FREE - $29/mth on 24 mth plan and get paid 100 Bucks

Posted By: Pookie, posted 2012/03/08 18:31
This phone had been $5 per month on the $29 plan but Vodafone have just dropped it to $0 which is a saving of $120 over 24 months.

To be eligible for the $100 Buckscoop cashback you have to be logged in and you will need to use link for this deal.

There is a discount code on the site for an extra discount but you may not get cashback if you use it.

This is what Vodafone say on their site:

Why not add another service for someone special?
If you need a new mobile or mobile broadband service for someone close to you simply choose from our range of hot offers below.

When you add any of these services to your existing account, you'll SAVE 10% off the monthly access fees for that additional service1 - simply for being a Vodafone customer!

Enter the promo code SAVE10 when you buy online.

As we have not been sent this code by Vodafone directly I would say that use of the code would interfere with your Buckscoop cashback tracking. I can email then to check it out though and will let you know what they say

Cheers for the deal btw Pookie
  • mouldgirl2012/03/08 19:48:54
I really like mine. Camera 8mpx is good but the battery life is not as good as I would like. I use in car charger a lot though and that seems to help. I would recommend one if anyone was thinking about buying :)
  • queenshrew2012/03/08 21:01:30
I would definitely buy one..if only they still have the $200 cashback :p

$596 is too much to pay for this phone if you don't need another plan right now (I don't as I am servicing two)..
.. but this is a nice deal for anyone who needs one! :)
  • mouldgirl2012/03/08 21:11:28
I am a bit confused then. Isn't the phone $0 and the only thing you need to pay is the $29 a month for the 24 month contract. Also if you use Buckscoop then you get the $100 cashback?

I think that Queenshrew has a few mobiles already and she does not want any more contracts.

The phone is free but you will be tied in to the $29 per mth plan with Voda for 24 mths. With the Buckscoop cashback it works out to only be the equivalent of $24.83333etc per month or $596 if you dont go over your cap etc..I hope that made sense.

This is an excellent phone if you ask me. About the only downside is the camera isnt quite as good as the iphone one.

    Pookie,
please tell me how to buy it

    Hi

I am new to the site...IS IT TRUE that you get $100 back through BS?
  • queenshrew2012/03/08 22:25:33
I think the title needs to be updated to reflect the $29/month on 24 month plan.

Sounds too good to be true...$0 per month and getting paid $100 on top of that haha.

Hello newcomers. Please visit http://www.buckscoop.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=10682 to read up on Buckscoop and how the cashback works :)
  • Gwhiz2012/03/08 23:01:05
Wow....sounds too good to be true....can we cream this deal up with a further 10% off for NRMA members?.....then I will be laughing in my sleep....is that allowed with this $100 cash back deal?

    Anyone knows?
  • Pookie2012/03/08 23:01:49
Hi anhduyphan and welcome to Buckscoop.

All you need to do is make sure you are logged in, then go to the top and click on the "go to deal" button. From there you will have to go through the process of making the purchase through the Vodafone site.

Re the cashback bit you really should read this http://www.buckscoop.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=2285 ...If you stick to those rules there is no reason that you shouldn't get your cashback.

Gwhiz, I'm not sure if you can combine the two as the merchants sometimes pay one or the other depending on their t&c's. You can try and do both...if you get both that would be an added bonus. If its only the 10% then it was worth a shot I guess.

I see what you mean...I suppose its how you read it so I have amended the heading.

I just bought the samsung galaxy s2, however, am paying with my credit card, so where and how will the $100 cashback be processed to?!
  • Pookie2012/03/09 00:02:47
Hi wennndyx, I think that the attached link explains most things Buckscoop especially under the heading "how does the cashback work".

    Hi there Anhduyphan, Gwhiz, Wennndyx
    Welcome to Buckscoop
All you need to do is click on the link (when you are logged in of course) and buy the phone via the Vodafone site. As you leave Buckscoop and land on the Vodafone site a cookie sets on your machine that will record your transaction and that it originated at Buckscoop.
The transaction is then validated by Vodafone and in about 2 months you get your Buckscoop cashback from us (once Vodafone have coughed up the cash)
Here are a few links to help you out:
    New Members and Cashback info

Hope that helps - just ask if you need any help

Hey Nod, have you heard back yet about cash back and using the save10 code......I'm guessing not otherwise you would have posted. Thanks in advance :)
This deal doesn't expire until 1/4/12 so there's still a bit of time to take it up.
  • nod2012/03/09 17:51:06
Nope. No news yet. Sorry. We have rung them too - guess they are having a long weekend :D
I would say though as they never told us about it directly that it would mean no cashback. But hopefully they will get back to us soon and we can be 100% sure

Was there any update, as I would be interested to get it before they run out of stock. I'm an existing voda just wanted to get an extra mobile with new plan, don't want to upgrade my existing.

with constant use the battery was lasting 24 hours, I have since put on a battery saving app, and its lasting almost 2 days!
Not ideal if you dont remember to take your charger, but apparently normal for smart phones.

If anyone knows how to get longer out of the battery please let me know, cheers!

Hi there. Yep we heard back and the 10% code does work with cashback. I posted it here. Sorry I should have put it up in here too. Thought a diff post would be better

Buying online will only work for new customers (or at least a new number)

Yeah that is unfortunately the case with all mobile phone cashbacks (postpaid).

But if you really want the deal and you want to keep your number too, one way to do that is to port your number over to a prepaid sim (another network) then port back to vodafone. You can buy prepaid sims for $2 at most Woolies or Coles.

It's a bit of a hassle, but it really is worth the $100 cashback :D
  • wheadle2012/03/22 18:38:22
Can't you just order a new contract then once your cashback is in your account port the old number back?
  • nod2012/03/22 18:47:09
I am sure that has worked for other members. Thanks Queenie and Wheadle

I noticed that Vodafone has just extended their promotional offer for the Samsung Galaxy S11 $29 p/m cap deal $0 handset for 24 months till 28/6/2012. Does this 100 bucks cash back applies if I purchase this via the link from buckscoop website?

Hi anntip, so long as Buckscoop has the cashback link and it works properly (meaning it is active), the $100 is valid, regardless of which Vodafone postpaid plan you decide to go with. :)
