Yeah, when I was posting it showed a listing above with the same title, but reverted back to the forum page, and wouldn't show up.

:w00t: A second monitor this big! Wah! Would love that, but you'd have to move your whole head just to read the other side of the screen! hehe! :D

There is a review on the 50Hz model which Target sold last year at whirlpool
    Rank Arena 32" 1080p LCD for $700 - TVs - Home Theatre

It seems that Target own the rights to the Rank Arena brand name and it has nothing to do with the old company. With only a 12mth warranty I think the AWA from Big W with 3 yrs would be a safer bet

Haha yeah, I'd probably just be using it to watch movies or playing games though. No word processing or anything strenuous :D

Hmm the reason I was looking at this one over the Big W one was the full hd and 100hz which would be better for my pc and was hoping it would look smoother. However I hope they got one on display at my local Target if they have any  a rather small Target over here. Maybe i'll drop by Big W too to have a look :)

a screen this size and resolution will be fine for games and movies, but isn't going to make a particularly good general use computer monitor, as the dot pitch (the size of each pixel) will be relatively large...
  • fishmonkey2010/01/26 21:40:49
also, your computer video card will need to be able to support the 100Hz refresh rate...

there's something weird going on with your account, the same thing happened with one of your deals a couple of days ago...

yeah, i noticed that too :( not sure whats wrong with it, maybe my posts are too long or something.

How do I know if my video card supports the 100hz refresh rate? :)

Yeah, I figured it would be kind of illogical to use the 32" for general computer use. I would have to move my head from side to side too much haha :D

i think the problem with your posts is a bug in the Bucky system...

you will need find out what model video card your computer has, then look up the specs for it...

Ah, I read there was one coming up at Big W for cheaper soon but not full HD. Hmm so comparing the one you linked and the Target one, would the 100hz on the Target one make alot of difference for the ps3 gaming?
  • fishmonkey2010/01/27 12:36:40
if possible i would test the TV first...

because of the extra processing involved in displaying a 100Hz picture, some TVs add a significant amount of lag and possibly picture noise, depending on how good the electronics/processing is...
