Can i ask why the temp of this deal is so low? I think this deal is of good value and just wondering why anyone would vote negative.

I haven't voted yet. To me, it's a good deal if the ink is no more expensive than other brands, doesn't get consumed any faster, and produces a good print. I think "disposable hardware" (where it is cheaper to replace than to repair or refill) is a really bad deal, I guess from an environmental perspective more than anything else. So, I guess I am holding off voting till someone adds more info.

Plus, I don't vote on every deal because I don't always know how to gauge whether something is a good deal or not! :)

Thanks Lilpretzel - the ink is the same price as the printer :D
  • ScarletRubies2008/03/08 13:35:17
Thanks, LP - didn't mean to ignore the info you gave. Does anyone know if Lexmark has one of those warranties that is void if you use non-genuine ink? *sigh*.

Can you recommend that Grasshopper place, LP? Their stuff is less than half the (pretty cheap, I thought) price I get for my genuine stuff (we use AIM and have always been happy with their price and service).

Probably will void warranty, but on a $35 printer it will cost more to return for warranty, tahn the warrantys worth. And with the savings you make on the ink, who needs the warranty. I have a Canon MP760 thats 3 years old and have used more than 1 litre of non standard ink in that time. (I have refillable cartridges using bulk ink). The bulk rate is no more than 10% of the original Canon ink in price. So what the heck about the warranty. After 4 refills I could have bought another printer with the savings. BTW its still going strong
