Great deal thanks!

40 dollar cashback applies regardless where you get it but HT is the cheapest around town @ 59 dollars,

you can goto officeworks and they would match it plus another 5% off for roughly 56 :) could be an option
• golfwidow2008/11/11 16:11:29
HOT deal. Thanks for sharing Kennethkoh :)
• liewehan2008/11/11 18:39:40
Have you guys try to called office works and do price match before? i just called them to match the price with HT and they said they will calculate the delivery cost as well even though i said i can pick it up from the harris technology store. The guy on the phone also very rude.

Thanks kennethkoh. Good find.

Have you guys try to called office works and do price match before

I'm pretty sure there are a few users on here who have so someone should be able to help out.

From what it says here http://www.microsoft.com.au/hardware/offers/

Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 v3 RRP $149.95 cash back $40.00

So I don't think M$ would honour that because the version selling at HT is v2.

obviously HT knew what was going on and if you go to Officeworks, they stated that microsoft is offering $40 cashback

I've had few people arguing with me regarding the V2 and V3

The HT guy I bought my keyboard from told me its all the same, you can claim for it no problem.. so i will hold him responsible if anything goes wrong..

Welcome to Buckscoop Liewehan
If that is Officeworks policy then that is a bit rough since, as you say, you can pick things up from HT
Guess the price matching is getting tougher

Thanks for the deal Kennethkoh :)
Heat and rep added

The HT website also says $40 cashback for this exact model, when you go to purchase it online from HT.
• liewehan2008/11/12 09:27:06
Yeah, i just go to HT to pick it up today . Great deal i got two from myself :D

Does the HT receipt say 6000 V2 on it ? Any idea how long it take for the claim to process ?
• voteoften2008/11/12 11:55:52
I just got an email saying they do not have it and as it is discontinued, I won;t be getting it. I can call to get a suitable replacement.
• liewehan2008/11/12 18:16:00
It said 6000 V2, when i pick up the order. i talked with the guy in HT and they said this type did not have cash back and i said in your website you claim this one can be cash back and that guy said he cannot guarantee that. he said just give Microsoft a called. i ended up buying the item and will be refunded if cannot be claim. did anyone call Microsoft before to confirm this cash back offer ?
• weaijiet2008/11/12 20:43:08
I think HT is trying to get rid of old V2 stock, nicely speaking, by advertising the cashback offer although they knew V2 is not included in the M$ cashback list.
• liewehan2008/11/12 21:04:05
but i don't think office works and HT will make the same mistake. i guess they already talk with Microsoft before hand.
• bigal2008/11/12 21:08:22
IMO you guys are making too much of this. Its a promotion that MS is running to encourage consumers to buy their products.

I dont think they'll really care if its v2 or v3. They'll list v3 as it is their latest product but if you put a claim in, they're not going to knock it back. This is not a trick question where they'll try and get out of paying you if you made the claim.

I would, if I was worried, call MS on their cash back hotline, 1800 233 033. this number is from their last promo, I suspect it'll be the same.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised. They're both Wesfarmers (Coles Group) companies.
• kennethkoh2008/11/13 01:28:38
if they both makes the same mistake I AM BRINGING the matters back to them and give them a good spanking... printed the page on HT site so got ourselves covered..
• sam2008/11/16 21:48:06
well i called office works, but as its discontinued, they had none in stock and they were the same price as in HT. And as HT have none in stock, i cannot get my hands on one. Does anyone know anywhere else that sells this keyboard/mouse combo???
• Tran2008/11/16 22:41:01
i dont get why people like wireless mice and keyboards. they use AA batteries and are unreliable. they also arent that great for gaming either.
• jdstacey2008/11/17 00:35:42
I'm going to guess they like them because they are wireless. :)

Now I have an email saying the goods are waiting to be collected....... ;)

Got these for $89 a while back.
Hate the keyboard (not used to the ergonomic design and kept on typing the wrong letters!). So in essence, payed $89 for a wireless mouse.:(

I'm getting a product not found out of HT now. Time to expire ?
