Hotelclub $$$ are US$ so bigger discounts when converted now! (TIP)

For those with a few Hotelclub $$ saved up, especially those who got the $50 bonus from Austar there are good discounts as the $$ are American dollars so $50US is roughly $70 off for us.

I just got a 1 bedroom apartment at Q1 Gold Coast for $110 a night using my discounts. Very happy.

Have attached two vouchers. Hopefully they still work.

No cashback from Hotelclub if you are already a member or use any discounts.

I'm actually hoping to book a room for Monday night

Drives me nuts we have to go for a Dr's appointment and places in Parramatta area charge more through the week than on weekends because its common for confrences etc Least I can beat them at there own game this time ;)

.....off to have a look ;)

What rates do you normally get on the hotelclub $ back as in the number you get from purchases? Good or bad?
• daniekaj2008/10/13 14:12:15
I spent $215 ($141.35 after I used my US$50 voucher) and got US$3.84 cashback.

We were very happy with our room last night. If anyone planing on going to Rosehill races this spring summer the Quest is directly across the road (for those who like to drink) living area down stairs bedroom upstars. We will be staying there again for suture hospital trips its the cheapest I could find at $99 and much nicer having a unit than a small motel room for double the price.

Anyone know how far in advance we can use the voucher to book? I notice it expires next month we need to go to Sydney again in 6mths wondering if I can book that far in advance? Just cheecky as I have a voucher in my name (used hubby's last night ;) ).
• lilpretzel2008/10/14 19:40:03
It shows you can book up to 2010 but a quick search shows your Hotel doesn't show up in April :(
• voteoften2009/01/21 20:37:01
I just booked a room in the sunshine coast for Easter holidays. The room was $131. With the $50 USD credit, the room was just $58 AUD. Far out.

Even though this deal is expired, check your hotel club account. Sometimes you can have $ in there and not even realise.
• jeffli2009/01/22 01:19:26
I booked 2 oceanview deluxe rooms at the Crowne Plaza, Surfers for a total of about $70 each!! checking in for some R&R today!!

I still have a couple lots to use.
• Keeys2009/01/22 04:49:10
Wish they would come out with some new vouchers :(
• lilpretzel2009/01/22 12:10:53
I used my US$50 the other day and just came back from the Courtyard Marriott, total cost I paid $130.00.

Family room = 2 A + 3 C with a buffet breakfast for 2 adults ;)

Not sure but I ended up with this link - http://lm.hotelclub.net which gave me offers not list on the normal Hotelclub site.
• Keeys2009/01/22 13:53:12
Thanks for the link some great savings. We aren't looking to go anywhere till easter but it willbe worth a loo when the time comes :)
• golfwidow2009/01/22 14:16:29
I wish they had some more vouchers too. Its a bit depressing only seeing $8 in my account after having nearly $100 saved up :(
• sal782009/01/24 09:36:35
I used the vouchers at www.ratestogo.com The rates are much cheaperfor last min 28 days.

For ppl in SE QLD, search under 'Brisbane' for 'Peppers Hidden Vale'. It's the most georgeous resort and the cottages are so quaint and views magnificent. Onweeknights you can get cottage + bfst for as low as $130p/n and it's a bargain if you use your vouchers. It's located at Grandchester, just out of Ipswich. Beautiful country area and looks so picturesque, feels like you're in England.
• lilpretzel2009/01/24 10:22:20
Cheers for that sal, that just want I'm looking for ;)
• voteoften2009/01/24 13:03:10
I am so happy with this deal. I managed to get front row tix to Dralion and now have a room for $26 AUD. It is at a historic hotel I have always wanted to stay at. I guess I will use my Entertainment card for dinner!!!!!
