guys a noob question please. Im a first time user and just signed up for the Bankwest deal. After complete the application, I found that no transaction appearing on my earnings list. Is that something normal?
  • denis72009/04/01 11:54:47
I just signed in too. However, I had to redo my application since first try timeout. Second application was successful. Hopefully it will not affect my cashback.

Denis I think you should be right.

As long as you clicked through using Buckscoops link, it would had already place the tracking cookie on your computer + competed the application wholly online.

If any part of your transaction was completed over the telephone or through any other medium we will not receive commission for this and we therefore cannot pass the earnings on to you.

If you still don't see the transaction in your earnings after 14 days please lodge a ticket enquiry, you must do this within 3 months of the transaction.

    I have a missing transaction

My session timed out as well. I made sure I clicked again thru buckscoop link and made the application.
Great deal, thanks, especially with no minimum opening balance.
  • denis72009/04/01 17:29:54
Yep I clicked through again the buckscoop link.. just had to double check that the promo code was in the address bar :)
  • Keeys2009/04/01 18:33:18
Anone know if you can set this kind of account up for a child? We haven't got an account for master 2 and hes not old enough to care so a high intrest account like this would be better till hes old enough to care. His poor little money box is over flowing so we were thinking of just opening a kids account with the the Commonwealth but this would be alot better money wise. We could even invest his $45 bonus :D

I don't know Keeys. Great idea though. I don't see why not - have a read of the Bankwest site
  • lilpretzel2009/04/01 19:11:38
Seems you have to be over 12 year old ;)

Yes, I am over 12 years old.

I have read the Interest Rate Schedule and the Product Disclosure Statement and I agree to its provisions electronically.

Re session timeout so long as you were logged in when you first clicked through from Buckscoop to the Bankwest site, your cookie should have set.

The transactions seem to be tracking very fast so keep an eye on you earnings and as LP pointed out, if in 14 days you can not see your transaction then please generate a ticket enquiry.

I guess I could just put in our name won't make any difference to him when hes older we can set him up with his own account at a local bank in his name.

    FYI http://www.bankwest.com.au/kids/
Set up your child's monthly savings plan. You'll need to deposit between $25 and $250 per month and make no withdrawals to earn 7% p.a. bonus interest.
  • mikepspencer2009/04/01 23:02:36
damm. i too signed up for this before buckscoop offered the cashback :(
  • hellwolf2009/04/02 16:15:09
Hmm.. I don't really need another high interest account, but $45 is tempting.
  • betaman2009/04/02 16:57:18
So we get $45 for opening an account, regardless of opening balance?
  • lilpretzel2009/04/02 17:00:14
    Yep, min open = $1.00

    Fantastic isn't it :w00t:
  • Buzz2009/04/02 17:16:43

Oh, that's a shame I was going to sign up. Oh well, maybe they will start again soon.
  • blackmyst2009/04/03 13:27:12
Was the min deposit really $1.00?

I put in 10c just to see and it worked :whistling:

does that mean I wont get cashback if my deposit wasn't $1? Mine had tracked.
  • femme172009/04/03 13:28:32
arggg... just realised that it's expired :(
Are they going to do it again?

Oh, I just thought the min was $1.00 going by the amounts in the drop when asked about how much roughly would your savings be :)

I wonder if anybody put less?
  • cnitso2009/04/04 09:33:02
Any idea if this will happen again or was it a one off??
  • nod2009/04/04 09:59:20
Well from the email we received there is a good chance that Bankwest will have this campaign on offer again
We shall keep you posted :)
  • Wormetti2009/06/12 11:16:30
Received my payment. Thanks and hopefully they do this again or some other banks try the same thing.
  • lilpretzel2009/06/12 11:45:16

At the moment St George have a couple of cashback offers, I like this one.
St George Bank - Open a Direct Saver Online Savings Account With Free Fees + $31 Buckscoop Cashback.
  • denis72009/06/16 23:59:21
Looks that my earnings have not been validated yet... should I be worried? I submitted an enquiry already just to make sure everything ok :)
  • lilpretzel2009/06/17 06:58:54
If you have sent in the paper work everything should be fine, these seem to take there time.
