We've seen some bizarre booze-infused concoctions over the years, but new ArchieMite, from Archie Rose Distilling Co. in New South Wales, is probably the most patriotic of them all.
Some people might baulk at this latest Vegemite spinoff, but to dinky-di Vegemite devotees this is the most exciting news since Vegemite Shapes!
ArchieMite, which comes in a very retro-looking 700ml glass bottle, is inspired by our country's love of yeasty spreads on buttered toast, and claims to have gently infused those flavours into the spirit for a truly unique bevvy.
Wondering how they even begin to make such a drop? Archie Rose doesn't divulge the secret recipe, but the distillery does boast that they have "created an unaged spirit like no other featuring freshly churned, uncultured Pepe Saya butter and Sonoma sourdough toast."
A bottle will set you back $78.90, and is available at Dan Murphy's for delivery. It's a limited release, so you'll want to get your skates on to snaffle one. Or five.
If Vegemite-inspired booze isn't your cup o' tea, but you love the Aussie spirit (pun intended) of this new drop, you can grab an ArchieMite tea towel over at the official website of Archie Rose instead.
Dan Murphy's delivers around Australia from $6.90 (standard shipping).
