Toys R US - Infa Secure Travale Booster Seat with Bonus cushion booster $99.98

24 June 2009

Praised by experts and appreciated by parents, this outstanding seat is the No.1 rated booster seat sold throughout Australia. It is the first and still the only booster seat to receive a 4 star rating in the Child Restraint Evaluation Program (CREP) test. The intense research and careful designing by our Safety Research Team has helped perform these results have exceeded the Australian standards, the most stringent Standard in the world.

This seat also provides an 'Anti-Submarining' feature preventing children from serious abdominal and neck injuries due to sliding under the lap belt in an impact.

Special features:

- Top tether strap for enhanced stability of the seat (This restraint must be attached to a child restraint anchorage point in the car.)
- Blow moulded plastic shell for increased rigidity.
- Suitable for a child from 14kg to 26kg.
- Suitable for use with child harness. (Safe n Sound Protecta)
- Easy to use sash guide.
- Arm rests for child comfort.

This is the new model of the Vario Kid, according to baby forums. I have been looking at a booster seat for a while and have only read good things about the Vario Kid, which is had to find. This seat is comfortable and quite slim-line which is great if short on space!!

I have the infa secure vario kid model for more than a year now, no complaints (I use it with protecta harness for my larger-than-average-3-year-old.) Before I got mine (cuz it was rated the safest), I called the company to confirm cuz there were similar models with different names at bigW, kmart, toysrus and baby stores (sentinel, travale, vario kid). They said they are same except for the fabric, padding, etc, hence the price difference. I got mine at a baby store as it was discounted at the time. PS: moving from the Safe n Sound compact Deluxe carseat, even the vario kid (supposedly with better quality fabric and cushioning) felt really hard! But my son is happy using it for more than a year now.
