Does ASOS have free returns?
It's just one of the reasons why we love this store.
Returns placed through Australia Post or Parcel Point will cost you nothing. If for some reason you choose to use a courier instead, you'll have to pay freight fees unless you're a Premier Customer.)
Is there anything I can't return to ASOS?
Generally all items are accepted for returns, and original packaging is not required either. (Got to love that!)
However, ASOS does have the right to refuse a return if it's in an unsuitable condition. For example, make sure you keep hygiene labels attached to your swimwear and underwear.
Can I return makeup to ASOS?
But as above, make sure it is in good condition. Don't send back a half-used lippy, ladies. That's not going to fly with the returns team.
Can I return sale items at ASOS?
Absolutely. ASOS sale items are accepted provided they're in reasonable condition.
You can also return items you've used an ASOS promo code for.
How long do I have to return something?
You have 28 days within which to return any items bought from ASOS Australia. The 28 days starts from the day you received your order.
Do I need an ASOS account for returns?
No, but it's the quickest and easiest way to process a return.
An ASOS account is very simple to set up, and extremely useful if you're a frequent shopper there.
When you place your order, you'll be asked to set up an account. It's as simple as entering your personal details and selecting a password for your account.
This is just some of the information held in your account:
- Orders - a complete history of all your purchases
- My Returns - history and status of return requests
- Payment Methods - your credit card details
- Contact Preferences - your delivery addresses, email and phone details
- Social Media Accounts - should you wish to link up your socials for quick access
How do I submit a return request?
If you don't have an account:
- Contact ASOS, and they will step you through the returns process
If you do have an account:
- Log in to your account and select MY ORDERS
- Click on the item you wish to return, and select your REASON for the return
- Select CONFIRM SELECTION
- Click on SEARCH DROP OFF POINTS to find the closest place to send your parcel from and select one
- Check your email for the POSTAL LABEL to apply to your package, and the pre-filled RETURNS FORM that will go in your package with the item.
- SEND your item - and don't forget to get proof of postage from your carrier just in case the parcel goes AWOL!
Are delivery costs refunded as well?
No, delivery costs are not refunded.
How long will it be before I get my refund?
Your return usually takes around about one week to arrive at ASOS. After that point it has to be processed, so allow up to ten days before the refund is processed using your original payment method.
Altogether, we suggest allowing up to two weeks to see the refund in your account.
What if I want to exchange something?
ASOS Australia doesn't accept exchanges. You will have to process a return, and place a new order for the preferred item.
What about ASOS Premier returns?
The returns process is the same for ASOS Premier members as regular customers, but they have the added bonus of being able to use a FREE courier service for their returns.
This gives members the convenience of having a courier collect the return from their home rather than having to visit a drop-off point.
NOTE: Some postcodes are excluded from the free courier service, click here to see if yours qualifies.
Can I return an ASOS Marketplace item?
You can, but the procedure is a little different.
You will need to contact the seller directly, as marketplace returns aren't handled by ASOS. The seller will be able to provide you with appropriate instructions and a return address.
What is the ASOS Australia returns address?

Bear in mind that the returns address will be already be printed on the returns labels generated in your online account, so you won't need to write this down.
