How To Make Chocolate Valentine's Day Bark

Does your Valentine have a sweet tooth? This Valentine's Day bark is so easy to make, and it's definitely going to put you in the good books with your loved one!

Ingredients and Equipment:

  • Baking tray
  • Baking paper
  • Pink, red, white and brown Wilton Candy Melts
  • Icing spatula (or butter knife will do)

You'll also need a microwave to melt your chocolate (unless you would prefer to use a stove top), and a freezer for setting the bark.

Chocolate Valentine's Day Bark Recipe:

Step One: melt the chocolate in individual bowls according to the instructions on the pack.

Step Two: starting with the brown milk chocolate, spread an even layer onto your lined baking tray.

Step Three: add a layer of white chocolate, spreading evenly, and then follow with swirls of red chocolate and lastly, the pink chocolate. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the colours into each other.

Step Four: sprinkle with your choice of candies on the top (Fairy 5s pink sprinkles are a great option, and you can grab them at Woolworths). Pop the tray in the freezer to set.

Step Five: cover the set bark with baking paper and then crack into chunks with a meat clever or rolling pin.

Et voilà!

You could package it up in a clear bag and tie with a ribbon, or pile it all onto a platter for immediate devouring!
