Big W Toy Sale Offering Up Some Very Cheap Deals Online

Earlier this month Big W announced a massive toy sale (online only) which has been offering up a some pretty hot bargains. What's interesting here, is that normally they only run two major toy sales throughout the year - in July and again in December. Thus a sale of this magnitude and this early on is definitely something to get excited about, particularly when you consider the extensive range of products Big W have made available.

In fact, it's not just toys which they've included in this sale. The "Up to 60% off" discount also applies to clothes, cosmetics, household products, electronics and more. So I'd recommend that you avoid missing out on this opportunity to pick up a number of cheap toys - and other products - while they still have items left in stock as things appear to be selling out fast.

Let's have a look at some of the current toy bargains available right now though.

This Eeyore pillow pet is $9, part of the Disney plush toy collection. That's less than half the price on what you'd be paying elsewhere online including Mr Toys Toyworld ($19.99), Target ($25), Toys R Us ($24) and Fishpond ($54.99 with shipping).

Then there's the Littlest Pet Shop Tree House for $25. The same toy will set you back between $40 to $75 at other stores including Catchoftheday, and eBay.

Big W also have this Iron Man 3 figure listed at $7 in the sale which is great value compared to the $18 or more which other outlets are charging. This includes Harvey Norman ($18), Kmart, Toys R Us, Mr Toys World and ($19.99) as well as Peedee Toys ($21.99).

Spiderman 2-in-1 web blaster

Another toy which is bound to be a hit with the boys is this Spider-Man 2 in 1 Web Blaster for just $15. You'll find that it's selling for at least double this from other stores (e.g. Toys R Us,,, The glove and canister strap to your wrist and can spray either water or the provided web fluid.

If you happen to be reading this post after the 60% off sale has ended, the good news is that even without sales or promotions on the go, Big W generally tend to offer competitive pricing. Especially when compared with several of the other large department stores that stock a wide selection of toys.

If you're not already aware, Big W also have a price matching policy in place. This means they will lower their price on a product if the same item is being sold for less at another store (as long as it meets their T&C's). The policy itself seems fair and the list of exclusions is inline with what most other stores have in place - i.e. not price matching items on clearance, in special promotions or in factory/outlet sales.

Outside of their major sales campaigns, you can always visit the Toys Clearance section on Big W's site where they stock a large selection of brands including Hasbro, Disney, Fisher-Price, Lego, etc. The free Click and Collect option is normally a helpful contribution to finding a bargain, while Big W's delivery charges are capped at reasonable $9 to all metropolitan areas (excluding bulky items). Their free Click and Collect service is in contrast to certain other retailers like Target, who now seem to think it's fair to charge an extra $5 for this on orders under $40. At least Big W would appear to have their customers best interests closer to heart.

To end off, remember to keep an eye out for the next Big W toy sale which should be happening in about two months time. There's no doubt we'll be seeing plenty more deals worth snatching up, of which you will be able to find a selection of the hottest ones written up right here on Buckscoop.
