On the 10th of July, Universal Store opened its doors to the public at Kawana, QLD - celebrating the launch of its 24th store in the country (16th in the state) with 4 days of giveaways and competitions. However, due to the lack of stores in other states, many of us are still limited to shopping online. But it's not all bad news, quite the contrary in fact. Besides being able to order anything you want from the comfort of your own home, there are plenty of other advantages to shopping online. These include online only promotions, promo code discounts and in the case of Universal Store, free standard shipping on all orders.
Universal Store retails over 160 brands from statement labels and street fashion brands to exclusive ranges from local and international designers such as Minkpink, Lee, One Teaspoon, Deus Ex Machina, All About Eve, Herschel, Ladakh, Paint It Red, Res Denim, Rolla's, Stussy, Vans, Converse, etc.
Despite Universal Store stocking fashion collections from labels which many may consider to be overpriced, you can still get some pretty competitive deals on both men’s and women’s clothing/accessories during their sales. Plus, Universal Store promo codes are available from time to time, some of which are applicable on sale items as well giving you an opportunity for even greater savings. From what we have seen previously on Buckscoop, these coupons are only issued roughly once every quarter. So make sure you take advantage of them the next time you see one released.
You can be fairly certain though that whenever Universal Store is offering a bargain on a specific item or a hot promotion which beats market prices, you’ll find this posted up as a deal on Buckscoop. Right now we’ve got two active deals (one for the guys and one for the gals) which expire the end of the month (July 2014). Both of these show you how to bag a bargain by stacking sale prices with the extra 25% off Universal Store promo code that's active on our Vouchers page.
Besides monitoring Buckscoop, if want to keep a close eye on what’s happening at Universal Store, you can also sign up to their newsletter as well as follow them on the usual social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The company is reaching out to the younger generation through these channels by promoting in-store shopping within the relevant territories, as well as encouraging people to shop online. Their "Instashop", for example, is a shoppable Instagram feed, which I've found to be a unique and fun concept. Not only that, it's also extremely useful when trying to find (and buy) garments that you've only seen pictures of plastered all over the net.
It’s been over a year since Universal Store launched in South Australia, investing over $700,000 into its Marion Shopping Centre store, the first one in the region. After its success in Queensland and parts of Viktoria, not to mention the massive sales generated by their online store, I’m wondering what happened to the company’s physical expansion plans in other regions? With 14 years of constant growth figures behind them, both Universal Store’s co-founder, Greg Josephson and brand manager, George Do were pretty confident talking about expanding, hence picking the location in Adelaide last year.
I'm anxious to see where the next store will pop up, which are also usually accompanied by a great selection of store-opening specials and discounts.
