The modern stone-age family is back - and this time in LEGO form! The Flintstones 748-piece set is here, and given that it's no longer exclusive to LEGO Australia, there are some great opportunities to buy it at popular online stores for a cheaper price. The best deal around right now is at Hobby Warehouse for $92, with just $6.95 shipping.
There are some pretty incredible LEGO sets out there right now, especially with the 2019 cinema releases of LEGO Movie 2 , Toy Story 4 and Aladdin, but "The Flintstones" set has knocked it out of the park with the hit of nostalgia it brings to those of us who grew up watching the series.
So, what's in the set??
There are 748 pieces, and in terms of difficulty, it's recommended for ages ten and up, although I suspect that some younger "brickies" will be absolutely fine taking this one on.
Minifigures include the main characters, Fred and Wilma Flintstone, and Barney and Bettie Rubble. The main build takes the form of Fred and Wilma's house, and it pretty much includes everything, including the kitchen sink! You've got coffee table, fireplace, fruit bowl, TV with antenna, bowling zone (yes, really!), mail box, palm trees - even milk bottles. And of course, there's a steamroller, for getting around Bedrock.
One side of the house shows the exterior, while the other side is your access point for all interior elements. you can even lift the roof off to get to all the parts easier and play out your favourite scenes.
LEGO Australia sells this set for $99 + $12.50 shipping; but at Hobby Warehouse you can get your hands on it for less than $100 delivered - that's a cracking deal on a iconic set.
There are loads of other hot mid-year deals on offer at Hobby Warehouse right now - check them out while you're over there.
You can also find this set at Mighty Ape for $99.
Shipping typically starts at $6.95.
