Coles is selling an irresistible new range of Hot Cross Buns this year, and with the likes of salted caramel involved, these gourmet varieties may have just won Easter.
New Indulgent Hot Cross Buns join the "Coles Finest" range of products, but despite their fancy appearance, they're only $3.50 a pack - the exact same price as regular hot cross buns, just with less in them.
Indulgent Salted Caramel Hot Cross Buns come in packs of four and actually have fudgy chunks of salted caramel in them (OMG!). Plus, there's no fruit in these at all - great for those of who have seen enough sultanas in lunchboxes.
Then there's the Indulgent Sticky Date & Butterscotch Hot Cross Bun, also in a four-pack and also free of fruit. This one is filled with Persian dates and sticky chunks of butterscotch.
And to think I was excited about the choc-chip varieties - these sound next level.
For the gluten-free camp, there's an Indulgent Gluten-Free Chocolate Hot Cross Bun that comes in a pack of three with zero fruit, and loads o' choc.
If you prefer more traditional buns, Coles has them back for yet another year. Regular options include Fruit-Free, Chocolate, Apple & Cinnamon and Traditional Fruit; they all come in packs of six.
All of the Coles Indulgent Hot Cross Buns are available online or in stores around the country.
Have you tried the new Hot Cross Bun M&Ms yet? Coles is one of the only places you'll find them!
