    these are cheap (you have to add your own hard drive), but from what i've read, technical support is poor in Australia... also note that this model has component, but no HDMI output...

    I think these are a smart idea (not this one in particular - just generally). Everything I've got in the way of music, entertainment and pictures is digital. You'd ideally want to be able to set it up as a device on your network to make it really useful - which from the look of it this one cant be (at least not easily).
