Jabra Supreme Bluetooth headset $86.70

20 December 2011

I've been looking at high end bluetooth headsets for use with a phone. This one came out as my pick of the bunch (for my purposes).

It has active noise cancellation and flipping the arm turns it on/off. It's also on ear rather than in ear. Pretty big so you look like mission control, but I think with any of these you look a bit of a dill.

Lots of features like noise cancelling microphones, music streaming, on phone screen battery level display.

Also available here if you want local support (around $103)

Others I considered were:

Sennheiser VMX 100 ($85 ebay UK)

Planetronics Voyager Pro HD ($96 ebay US)

Jawbone Era ($50 refurb, $82 new ebay US)
This one has active noise cancelling too.

Thanks for all that info! Looks like you did extensive research..! I am a bit stone age when it comes to talking on the phone while I drive.. I put my phone on loudspeaker and place it on my lap lol :D

If you have a GPS with bluetooth you can use the phone through that (I use a TOMTOM). It's good because you can control it with the GPS screen (It has big buttons for answer, hang up etc). I have a friend that uses your method and it's very hard to hear her over the car noise. One of these headsets would be better than both methods due to the noise cancelling mikes and active noise control.

What do you think?
