does anyone know how these core 2 solo processors are? because the 1.4ghz doesn't seem too appealing :S how are they compared to the intel atom processors (netbook)?
  • closey
The atom at least has hyperthreading which helps with multitasking, the Core 2 Solo does not! The extra cache on the Core 2 Solo should help it though. The benchmarks on Notebookcheck: Mobile Processors - Benchmarklist seem to say that the Core 2 Solo is faster.
  • betaman
Solo is definitely more powerful, but it uses more power, hence the difference between ultraportable and netbook.
