Hi, Using the site allows you to abbreviate looooong URL's (web addresses). What was HP thinking when they dreamed up something 256 characters long? Good deal! Thanks! M.H.

Good idea. Link in the post has been updated, just left the 'Go To Deal' link with the full URL. Thanks for that idea. :)

You can get the same machine elsewhere for $1300 - so its a good price here. Not the hugest spec - but good as a basic machine.

It's a pretty good price. Vista Business is a big bonus on this one. Most laptops in this range have Home Premium. I suppose it depends on if you want Media Centre or the business tools. Lowest price on static ice is showing as $1680 at the moment. The other bonus is that on this deal there is no postage, handling and insurance as well. Postage is included in the price.

No postage is cool. I am still an XP user... so what is the difference b/w the Home premium and the Business? Do you get a lot more?

No postage is cool. I am still an XP user... so what is the difference b/w the Home premium and the Business? Do you get a lot more? Home Premium - Has Media Centre and Media Centre Extender like getting a wireless kit for an X-Box360 and streaming from the laptop to the 360 to the TV. It also comes with basic DVD authoring software built in and a few windows games like chess. Business - Complete PC Back-up, Fax & Scan software, Remote Desktop controls.

ah so I guess it depends on what you would use. I already have the media centre and I don't think I have ever used it :D I think that Business Vista sounds a bit more useful for me. I need to change over I guess I was offered a swap over to vista freebie with this machine but when I looked in to it, if I took the offer they would have negated my warranty  Not happy about that at all... But I have had to use my warranty for a new battery and a few others glitches so happy I made the decision.... Not that my above tale has a lot to do with this thread :o :D

What do you think?
