As a mum I know all too well how frustrating it is to spend money on expensive baby products that either wind up in the bin, or buried in a box of baby paraphernalia never to be used again! That's where free samples are brilliant. To have the chance to trial products before buying can save you a lot of cash, that's why we've rounded up all the companies that will happily offer up some freebies to Aussie parents.
Free Nappy Samples in Australia
Huggies will send you your choice of Huggies Ultimate Nappy Pants, Little Swimmers or Ultra-Dry Nappy Pants at no cost. All you need to do if fill out the request form on the Huggies website.
BabyLove will send you your choice of BabyLove CosiFit Nappies, SleepyNights Pants or Nappy Pants just by filling out the online form.
Bare Bubs will send out a pack of six Bare Bubs nappies providing you are willing to cover postage.
Ecoriginals will send new mums a full-sized pack of Newborn Plus nappies (32 in each pack) as well as a regular pack of wipes provided you pay postage and handling.
Free Baby Formula Samples in Australia:
Simply fill out your details on the web form and you'll be sent out a sample of either S-26 GOLD Toddler or S-26 GOLD Junior milk drinks to try out.
By filling out the request form on the Oli6 website, you will be sent three sachets of Oli6® Dairy Goat Toddler Milk Drink (Sachets). This is a great way to sample goat milk and its suitability for your little one.
Free General Baby Samples in Australia:
Nature's Child is an online store that specialises in organic baby and maternity products. Provided you purchase something first, Nature's Child invites shoppers to request samples in the comments area when checking out.
Cherub Baby will send out samples of popsicle ice block pouches, baby food pouches or breast milk storage bags provided you purchase Cherub Baby spoons or spouts from Chemist Warehouse first in order to claim the offer.
Gaia will send out samples of Baby Bath & Body Wash, Sleeptime Bath, Hair & Body Wash, Baby Shampoo, Baby Moisturiser and Belly Butter provided you send in a stamped, self-addressed envelope for your goodies.
The BaoBag is a FREE, reusable calico bag that is distributed to to new mums only through hospitals, care givers and health centres in Australia. It contains lots of sample goodies such as baby balms, organic baby good and even laundry powder. If you are pregnant, make sure to request one from your care giver.
Like the BaoBag, the Bountry Bag is a cloth bag that is given out to mothers-to-be and new mums through health care centres and hospitals in Australia. It contains excellent product samples including creams and nappies. Make sure you get yours! (Sometimes chemists have these in stock as well.)
Zapals is a huge international online store that sells all manner of products, including baby products. Keep tabs on the FREEBIES category on the homepage, there are always at least a few baby-related products on offer at no cost, although you will have to pay a small shipping cost. (Make sure you change the currency to AUD when browsing Zapals.)
How To Get Free Baby Samples From Brands
Many Australian brands are quite receptive to requests for product samples, particularly if you take the time to explain what you'd like to sample, and offer to cover the postage costs. Drop them an email, or message brands through Facebook. There's no harm in trying, and plenty of mums score some excellent samples this way!
