This is HOT. Would make a really nice weekend break. HOWEVER having said that, us Perthies are lucky that we can go to Bali for approx that price :D

just looked at the Sheraton Mirage site and it is normally from $380 per night

wow. Four Points By Sheraton Darling Harbour Sydney is $220 per night on Rates2To...Why such a difference? $380 is the actual rate or the rack rate?
  • Gallifrey
why the difference you ask geo, one is Sydney and the other is Gold Coast, and Sheraton Mirage is on the beach and across the road from Versace cant find Rates2To but did find ratestogo and Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast doesn't even list on RatesToGo cant compare apples to oranges!

fine. i was just asking if that is the rack rate or the discounted rate. many hotels charge discounted rates. the Sheraton Darling Harbour Sydney's rack rate is $500, but they actually sell the rooms for $220. anyway, i found some rates of $245 for the hotel in the deal: http://www.holidaycity.com/hcrs/RateInv/PegRateSumm.aspx?Hotel=SI;372&City=Gold%20Coast&Country=AU%20&ArrivalDate=4/7/2008&DepartDate=4/8/2008&NumAdult=2&NumChild=0&AgeChild=0&NumUnit=1&HotelName=&gway=goldcoasthotels&HTTPREFERERURL=http://www.holidaycity.com/sheraton-mirage-gold-coast/book.htm i wasn't critisizing your deal, i was just asking for more info...but that's fine...

it appears you were comparing a Sydney price with a Gold Coast price

What do you think?
