Cheap tickets on the Eurostar - London to Paris - $65 one way - $120 return

18 April 2010

Well this is not so much as a deal but a heads up I guess. I was checking out my email and saw the Flight Centre sale on rail fares and noticed the $99 one way offer London to Paris and thought that was a very good deal. BUT I thought I would just have a quick look at the euorstar prices and see just how cheap.
Well it turns out that you can get a one way ticket for £39 (about $65 oz). The tickets are non fliexible but if you are thinking of heading over to Europe this summer and want to take advantage of the grear exchange rate be sure to take a look at the offers available locally before you buy things like flights or rail tickets.

I have linked this deal to the Eurostar site and here is the link to the Flight centre offer -

Or you can actually get return travel for around $120 - check here for availability

Apparently its going off at the moment, but you need to own a small oil company to buy tickets.

Yeah I did think that as I was writing up the post. The really good $120 return tickets are for June, so hopefully things will have settled down by then. The main point is that if you are heading over to Europe or the USA take a look at booking things locally as you very well may find a better bargain :)

Sooo true. I suspect you would need to add another 0 to the end if you wanted to travel on the Eurostar now :D

What do you think?
