Free five year warranty on all televisions. The panel I'm looking at has a RRP of $1199 - so latest version (literally released a couple of days ago) for $200 less than RRP plus extension of warranty to 5 years.....

Thinking about getting one of these for the kid's games room. Includes built in side loading DVD player plus plays movies (divx/avi)/music/photos from usb drives. Not a huge fan of all-in-one devices, but then again it should be easy for the kids to use so require less parental guidance - which is a good thing (within reason, of course!)

If you don't care about the dvd player & usb media support, then they have other units - for example an extra $100 will get you a 66cm led tv or a 80cm full hd tv (although frankly 1080i is generally fine for anything smaller than 127cm/50inch).

This is a good price and the tellie is a reasonably recent and decent quality release. I dont think they actually sell online so if you want it you'll need to call them. A good price late last year on this was $3800 and your still looking at around that price to pick it up elsewhere.

$60 for yearly membership ($55 if you own a business)
One membership pays for two cards used as photo ID's for entry and checkout.
You can bring up to two non-members with each visit but only the member can check out.
Membership is refundable if you are unhappy.

PARKING
Due to bulky items drive in with your BIGGEST car. Park at nearby Harbourtown and walk across. Harbourtown parking is free first hour then $5 for all day.
Official carpark is underneath Costco store - first two hour free then $5 per hour.
Those willing to risk a fine can park for free on the nature strip on the north side of Footscray Road.

SHOPPING & CHECKOUT
The place is massive - give yourself a few hours to shop. Be prepared to wait to pay (no express checkouts), up to an hour at peak times. Queues may be shorter closer to closing time.

Due to the high exchange rate from AUD->USD Costco and indeed other electronic product suppliers have consequently reduced their prices. Cheers to Foma2 for this one. Checked it out and it has some pretty decent reviews. (got some in the comments). Suspect it will be replaced by a newer model. If you are interested head to your local JB and get them talking to either drop the price or have them chuck in some extras.
You can get cheaper generics but with tvs I prefer to get a known brand

OK, by buying pretty darn early (still 3 months away), you can get Season 2 as soon as it's released in the UK for only £35.49 (today = $79.21).

It's not even available for pre-orders in Australia at the moment. I reckon this is a great deal.

Not nearly $100 as here in Oz, just a piddly £22.28 - today just AU$48.36.

I know there's a couple of Dr Who fans on the boards! Not sure what I think of Capt. Jack (reminds me of Tome Cruise and that's not a good thing).

I didn't bother with screen shots of the pricing; the £22.28 is inclusive of postage to Australia. If you really must have the shots, let me know.

Just wait till you see the pre-order pricing of season 2!

I've never had a problem playing Region 2 discs on my Region 4 player - no idea why. Can't testify this to be the case for all players, but so many people have multi-region models now anyway.

I just completed my House dvd collection from Ezy DVD, where the 3 seasons would cost $109.49 (without postage - whether you need to pay more for shipping depends on how much you spend of course). This is as cheap as I've seen the sets new in Australia.

The UK price for all three seasons is £41.97, but that drops to £35.72 for international orders (no tax). With shipping the total is £39.30, which today is AU$85.32. Will vary with exchange rate of course, but Amazon.co.uk has great pricing on a bunch of TV DVD box sets.
