Now before we howl this one down. Be aware that REGIONAL USERS can not get ADSL 2+ services at reasonable costs (we don't get the massive TPG unlimited plans etc). I believe Telstra is actually making an effort to compete with other ISP's with this offer and I do applaud them for that, especially for making such high speed and high download limits available for regional users. I can only get ADSL2+ via Telstra and so this presents my small business with unbelievable value for money especially with unlimited calls to mobiles Australia wide.

Exetel - Awesome Value Broadband Deals

I moved our work broadband to Exetel a few months back to save a few bob and haven't looked back since!

They offer ADSL 2+, Naked DSL, ADSL 1 and Wireless (3G) plans.

ADSL 2+ plans START from $35 a month (or $40 a month with $15 line rental) and an 6GB of peak downloads and 56 GB off peak. Yes, 56 GB - that is not a typo!

Naked DSL plans START at $45 a month and also have incredible download allowances!

Even if you are currently getting your internet for less than $35 a month, it is probably only ADSL 1 which is at best a quarter the speed of ADSL 2+. And if it is ADSL 2+, it certainly won't offer such incredible download allowances!

On top of this, all of their plans come with

* A free VOIP account to make and RECEIVE calls, with 100 FREE VOIP calls each month to standard national landlines
* 20 Email Addresses
* 200 MB Web Hosting
* A free online SMS facility with 30 free SMS's to Australian mobiles each month
* Free static IP
* Uploads not counted in your download allowance

I really can't recommend these guys enough. They made the 2008 BRW Fast 100 list and are definitely one to keep an eye on.

Exetel - Wireless Broadband massive 2GB for $22.50 per month, no contract.

All the big telcos are promoting their latest wireless broadband deals, but why bother with them when you can get it at a price to rival even dial-up?

Plans with larger download limits but equivalent value are also available, as are $5 plans with no limits and 2.5c per MB.

As a comparison, Tel$tra charges $30 for a mere 200MB a month - only one tenth of this deal. Also, additional MB are only 5c each and not the 25c youd pay elsewhere.

Although I haven't taken it up, it seems a perfectly legitimate offering that started just recently on 1 March 2009. It's a HSPA service via the Optus wholesale 3G/HSPA mobile network. Exetel provides a USIM and/or USB STICK to provide you access to this.

Amazingly you also get a VoIP account (telephone calls via the internet) with a DID (Direct in dial - normal telephone number for people to call you). The VOIP offers really cheap calls to anywhere in the world, including 10 cent untimed calls to Australian landline numbers, whether they're next door or interstate.

To further add to its attractiveness, there seems to be a whole bunch of other bonuses including 30 free SMS, and 200MB hosted web space.

You'd have to do some research but you could potentially ditch your landline and ADSL internet in favour of this cheaper deal, which would save about $60 a month ($700 a year!), but likely more.

I have no affiliation with Exetel, but have been very pleased with their Naked DSL package for about a year now, which you can also see on their website.
