St John Ambulance Australia is a self-funding charitable organisation active in all states and territories, dedicated to helping people in sickness, distress, suffering or danger. St John is Australias leading provider of first aid training, first aid services at public events and supplier of first aid kits and equipment. St John runs the ambulance services in Western Australia and Northern Territory. St John provides a range of community services and youth development programs.
Course Info.

COURSE CONTENT
Call for emergency assistance
Manage a scene where First Aid is required including casualty assessment
Manage choking and near drowning
Administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Manage adolescent medical emergencies (such as: Asthma, Seizures and Diabetes)
Handle infection control
Prevent unintentional injury in the home

First Aid management of casualties with:

Bleeding and amputations
Burns
Eye, ear and nose injuries
Head, neck and spinal injuries
Bites and stings
Fractures and soft tissue injuries
Poisoning

Australian Discount Holidays is a resort marketing company offering customers the freedom to secure heavily discounted accomodation at resorts throughouta Australia at today's prices. Call (07) 5479 5558 to speak directly to an operator.

You can select from a range locations with different types of accommodation eg studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, self contained aparments, with large tv, pool, games room, internet, spa, sauna, gym, sea views etc

By placing a small deposit with Australian Discount Holidays (usually about $99), you secure yourself a holiday that can be taken any time within the next 12 months at today's prices. Once the deposit has been paid, Australian Discount Holidays send out a certificate in the post, and you call the resort directly to book your dates. Once the dates are finalised, you pay a holding deposit with the resort, but do not pay the balance until you arrive for the holiday.

Some resorts do allow use of the vouchers during certain school holidays but check resort listings for individual surcharges. Each holiday voucher is valid for a three-night stay, but a large number of resorts will accept two holiday vouchers for a seven-night stay. Also you may be able to join three holiday certificates for a 10-night stay.

The unofficial policy is that you can enter for free in the first week, but can't buy anything unless you're a member.
$60 for yearly membership ($55 if you own a business)
One membership pays for two cards used as photo ID's for entry and checkout.
You can bring up to two non-members with each visit but only the member can check out.
Membership is refundable if you are unhappy.

PARKING
Due to bulky items drive in with your BIGGEST car. Park at nearby Harbourtown and walk across. Harbourtown parking is free first hour then $5 for all day.
Official carpark is underneath Costco store - first two hour free then $5 per hour.
Those willing to risk a fine can park for free on the nature strip on the north side of Footscray Road.

SHOPPING & CHECKOUT
The place is massive - give yourself a few hours to shop. Be prepared to wait to pay (no express checkouts), up to an hour at peak times. Queues may be shorter closer to closing time.

Due to the high exchange rate from AUD->USD Costco and indeed other electronic product suppliers have consequently reduced their prices. Although you cannot 'haggle' with Costco on their prices, from what I've seen you are sure to get a very competitive price.
