sorry to be a bit sceptical, but isn't this a competition rather than a freebie? according to the T&C of the Sunbeam program:

All entries are judged on an individual basis and winners will be determined by the Promoter and notified by email within twenty-one (21) days of the Promoter receiving the valid entry. The date that the email is sent to the winner will be the date of the prize (“Date of Prize”). Details of the winners will also be published at the Vibe Village Website.

Maybe for the Sunbeam one but each product is different. The Mentos one you just have to apply and talking to others have heard that they have already received confirmation that they will get a free sample.

My daughter is signing up for the Mentos one so will let you know whether she is successful.

Just heard that my daughter got an email back pretty quickly saying her free Mentos are on the way.

The Benefibre one says "Register and complete initial survey: We’ll send you a free 80g pack of Benefiber ...." so looks like some are comps of sorts and others aren't. Guess it depends what item you pick and if you choose to host a Vibe party then like Word of Mouth they come and show the samples for your and a group of friends for free.

I don't think it suits being a freebie either, I was approved for the mints but not the baby DVD but I'm supposed to take photos of me talking about mints to my friends. It's a way of getting cheap advertising, you are working for your product

I signed up and applied for the mentos test but wasn't accepted?? No idea why... Will see how the rest of them work out or if I get accepted for any of the 'freebies'.

Some people have said they weren't accepted but their kids were so could be an age thing for this particular sample.
They are sending my teenage daughter 2 packets/containers of Mentos.

I wasnt accepted for the Mento's thingy. Still waiting on the other things....

I really oughta post more instead of just reading lol.

Anyhoo, I got knocked back for the baby language DVD, I have a newborn baby for crying out loutd (xcuse the pun)!! How much more suitable do I need to be!!

i got accepted for mentos and benefibre about a week ago, and have received the benefibre. So now just waiting on mentos.

I was excepted for the hairdryer one but i have to purchase it for half price! Will ask my sis whom is a hairdresser if she is interested but im not if i have to spend money.

It seems odd golfwidow, that you have to purchase the hairdryer then provide feedback on it. I thought they were giving them away to people they wanted feedback from.....

I am still waiting to hear if I was accepted for the hairdryer one. How much is half price golfwidow?

There are 2 sorts. One is $50 and the other $40. Will get my sis to explain them too me as i have no idea about them, lol.

I received an email today saying I was accepted for the 50% discount. Not sure I will purchase it though as I don't really need to buy a new hairdryer. Just thought it would be good to try and recommend if it does what it claims...

After reading these comments I am not even tempted to check out this website. Asking people to pay 50% sounds so dodgy when the stated purpose is to get feedback.

I received the mentos, 4 packs. I'm meant to take photos of my friends enjoying it LOL so not going to happen

I still think this isn't a freebie, they choose people based upon how many people they can suck into buyng their product

That said the mentos was free (although it comes with obligations)

the mentos is free but u let them know your opinion on it, and mine said u can take photos, it doesnt say i have to.

I didn't apply for Benefiber cos I still have this huge container from when I ordered a sample bag and it came free in the bag...

Trying to make my little girl help me finish it by blending lots of benefiber into her smoothies..haha No more constipation problems for her..

Ive received the Hairdryer FREE. Benefibre, Mentos and i just register for the rest, this was a few mths back i got the hairdryer it was the first thing i applied for.

I just received a whole heap of Nutrigrain samples to share around and get opions. My kids are very happy

I got sick of the spam from this website.

I got approved for the Masterfoods hosting and I did the whole thing..

However I didn't want to post photos up (as it is an invasion of privacy for my guests). So I wrote a few things, but did not post any photos. Then I got spammed with these not-very-nice toned emails saying I have to input more+photos and blahblah otherwise I will NEVER be chosen again etc. :eek:

I have decided since then that I won't go back. I can't handle the spam plus those sort of messages :O I felt they were very invasive and not worth the freebies (if you can even call it that) at all..

I had family staying recently who ate nutrigrain and so i read the box- 30% sugar!:eek: Still if it's free I won't say no:whistling:

I've got the hairdryer and US life on mars dvd coming. Loved the UK version and I can't imagine the US one will be any good but we'll see.

Just a quick note on the above topic - I joined Vibe some time ago, and whilst you need to register for the programs they have on offer, and you will not always be succesfully chosen to participate, when you are successful, there really isnt a lot to do...I have recieved a benefibre sample, and 8 small boxes of Nutrigrain to try....I didnt actually write any reports on the products I received, nor did I post any photos etc...and I didnt recieve any reminder or spam emails from them..

This was part of one of many emails I received (they were all of similar tone):

"If you want to be considered for future Parties and Programs please ensure that you have followed the guidelines for this Party by inviting guests on your Party Management Page and posting photos and/or videos showing us the fun you have had. Unfortunately people who have not fully participated will not be selected for future parties".

I just got accepted for an Australia Day program (chips, insect repellent, marinades etc)

AND - a Be the First Party where I will get some yummy Cadbury White Bubbles Choc plus get to view the first episode of House new season and The Good Wife before they are on TV.

All you have to do is share the "VIBE" with friends and family and post conversation reports about this. You don't HAVE to share photos etc (and I never have).

But really, you sign up, do a survey or three to apply for programs - and then if you're successful you get free stuff in return for talking it up to friends if you like it.

I've been successful for about half the programs I have applied for.

There is the minimus requirement to post conversation reports, minimum of 3 of who you have shared info on the products with. If you are hosting a party, you need to give feedback in the form of pics, videos or reviews.

I have never posted pics or videos but I have completed the min. number of conversation reports & reviews.

So far I have received for free:

Dunstan Baby DVD & tea sample & otrivin saline nasal things.
Huggies Nappy pants
2x Phillips energy efficient light globes
2x pitos chips
Radiant washing powder.

I received about 5 emails "reminding" me to post my review of the nappies!

So far I have been happy with the samples received & the feedback I had to provide.

I don't think this is techn ically a freebie though because you are required to participate in the program.

I signed up ages ago but forgot about it,
I have done the Radiant washing powder and just recieved three big packs of Kettle Chippies, dont really have to do that much..
Also have a Dr Lewins Beauty products party coming up, that should be good too.

I think they had a glitch with the Huggies nappy pants. I was never accepted (still awaiting approval), never received any nappies, but I got reminded twice to complete my feedback :-)
