and upon signing up, I got the following offer

    basic train set
20 pcs. Solid beech. Total track length 300cm. Multicolour.
    FAMILY price $ 14.99
    Non-member price $19.99
    You save 25%

this is a great train set, and I suspect it matches to the standard wooden train sets on the market (but have not confirmed this)

I have an Ikea family card, you do get some good offers now and again.

Has anyone tried the food? I recently got a buy 1 get 1 free on main meal voucher that I might use for lunch next time I go shopping...

    (though I always spend a fortune :o )

the food is ok. some things are a basic canteen line and some are much better. the desserts are very good. it's usually fantastic value too. sometimes kids eat free, or for $1. meatballs are half price on tues - that sort of thing.

The food is OK in general. But some of the things are really good. I like the Pea Soup & Mash Potatoes with gravy. It is excellent value though.

My family loves the meatballs... kids meals are really good value, with a piece of fruit thrown in!

(We sometimes just get 2 of these for an "older" kid -- great value! :D

don't know about the eastern states, but the SA store has an online shopping option with home delivery. Not sure about the price of delivery.
