If you sit behind a computer for long amounts of time everyday - these online guys are a very fast way to send SMS's - I use them (not yekedi - another service).

Geez I swear it has taken me 30 minutes to sign up and get me to the box from which I will try to send a test text message.

But I just love the idea of it sending it from your phone, for free, and without ads. :D

your welcome to name and shame gnuden. That sort of business practice should be made public so that others dont end up in the same situation.

    Welcome to buckscoop btw.

    Hey gnuden, Welcome to Buckscoop.

I've sent some text messages with Yakedi and I have not been charged anything at all.
They need your mobile number so that the messages you send appear to come from your number - otherwise the person receiving the message won't know it's you.

Gnuden has made a very valid point. It has happened to me at one stage or other as well and was really annoying. Thats why I need to be really certain before I use my mobile number for anything on the internet.

The worst part is when you can't stop them from coming, and you have no idea which deal you signed up for that caused the problem!
