Great deal. I wanted to see this so free is a really good price as far as I'm concerned. :D

Hi Geo78, How do you know that Paranormal activity is for everyone.
Searching on the Metromagazine's website I can't find where it says that it is for everyone.
From what I read it looks like it is for film teachers and students.
Please give me a link where it says this.
    Cheers, Bob.

when i posted it didn't say that "Paranormal activity" is only for teachers. I guess you posting it on ozbargain made them inundated with people and they had to put that notice. :)

Yeah, Trouble is Metro's right hand doesn't know their left hand is doing.

I have a confirmation e-mail from the actual person organising this screening stating
"Only for teachers a students except for this one which you are welcome to go"

The may have a stampede on their hands if they refuse everyone entry.

    Hi peoples :flowers:
I have an email confirming 2 seats held for me
in November, there is no mention of needing
to be a teacher or student.:o
I did get in quite early though :whistling:

    Cheers

I just had a look at the booking page at metro and it now has a notice saying it is only for teachers and lecturers. If you still go to the event, be prepared to be asked if you are a teacher or lecturer. There was no such exclusion posted when I booked.

For Bright Star there certainly was - there from the start. The folks at Atom/Metro asked that the 'deal' be pulled from another popular deal posting website, so I have a feeling they're getting a lot of people trying to pull a scam by ignoring the clear restrictions on Bright Star.

The OP had this restriction in their post from the beginning. I registered for Paranormal Activity, but now Im worried they wont let everyone in or something :(

I actually am a teacher technically- I work as a tutor at university... but how are they going to get proof of this anyway?

For Paranormal Activity there's no restriction. We didn't want to go to that one because of the filming style (motion sickness) and also the extreme creepiness factor. We gave back our tickets to Bright Star because we couldn't get a sitter for tonight, even though my wife is a lecturer in a closely related subject at uni. As long as you've got your staff card you should be fine, that's all we were taking.
