Children's Week 2008 will be launched at the Melbourne Zoo on Sunday 19th October, with FREE entry to the Zoo for children 15 years and under.

The fun-day will commence with a variety of child-friendly activities and workshops from 10am in various locations around the Melbourne Zoo.

Dorothy the Dinosaur's Dance Party will meet and greet children between 10.45am to 11.00am and a live performance is scheduled from 12.00 noon to 12.45pm. (© 2008 The Wiggles Pty Ltd. The Wiggles and Paul Paddick do not appear in Dorothy the Dinosaurs Dance Party)

Children can also have their face painted at various locations throughout the zoo, try hula hooping and juggling, participate in a "Wild Moves" african dance and drum workshop, learn about their favourite animals from keepers and laugh along with the roving clowns and stiltmen.

I think there are more activities this weekend in Fitzroy Gardens with Bindi Irwin and the Crocmen on stage. Will need to check for sure but saw an advert in the paper over the weekend. Unfortunately our kids are too old for this sort of thing now so dont' pay that much attention.
