Free 5 year warranty on all TVs eg latest release Panasonic 42inch plasma - $999 inc 5y warranty

Free five year warranty on all televisions. The panel I'm looking at has a RRP of $1199 - so latest version (literally released a couple of days ago) for $200 less than RRP plus extension of warranty to 5 years.....

G13 Progressive Full-HD Plasma Display Panel, Five star energy rating using 122 W (normal), 0.4 W (Standby)

Full details on the new set here: http://viera.panasonic.com.au/products/VIErA/Plasma/TH-P42U20A

Would note that the extra warranty is not from Panasonic but has the same terms and conditions.

absolutebeginner has started on a distinguished road to Bargainville
Word of warning, this shop seems to have a very bad reputation.

Ouch. Some people have had ok experiences but it definitely sounds like it might be best to either avoid or only buy if you can go there personally AND they have the unit in stock AND you can take it away that day. The alternative is of course - as they are a brick & mortar store - to use their advertised prices to have others (Myer/DJ's) price match....
