I have just joined this forum but having read the extensive price list above, I can only say, you must do your own shopping.
First of all, the TV's have come down dramatically in price; viz. Sony 32" Bravia 1080P Full HD costs $1029, which is $200 less than the price above, and that was 10 days ago. You must check prices before you buy - some things are cheaper, and some are more expensive. Roquefort (Papliion) costs $60 per kilo and come in 300gm (I think) size. Gorgonzola is even cheaper. Underwear is cheaper, so are T-shirts which are very good quality. BUT some things are cheaper elsewhere. viz. a 16GB Corsair 2 Voyager flash drive costs just over $47 at CentreCom Online - Notebooks & Computers ; I went to the Elsternwick store in Glenhuntly Rd., opp. the Railway Station. So, you have to do your homework sometimes. Some Bread costs $2.50 (approx) for two loaves, and the Jelly Beans, Almond Brittle is just fantastic. But it is necessary to shop. New items come in all the time. A Strong DTV 5492 recorder costs $399. You won't get it anywhere else for this price, and I just checked with my friends at the DTV forum. The beauty of Costco is that if you don't like the item, you can bring it back. TV's and recorders: you have to return it before 3 months. And if you are not happy being a member of Costco, you give them back the membership cards, and you get your $60 back. Parking has eased considerably lately, and if you go around 11.30 to 1pm, (which I do), there's no problem. But if you want to buy liquor, try First Choice or Uncle Dan Murphy. Hope this helps. |
