12 Brumby Canyon Jillaroo Red + Stockmans Post Semillon Chardonnay $119 @ Jacks Wine

19 July 2007

This is a great price for a 24 bottles of wine, one of which is certified organic wine.
I have not tasted this particular wine but I have to agree with Jack when he says that most organic wine is not that great to drink but this is what he says of this one.. " This wine just blew me away when i first tasted it, it had intense berry fruit and flavour and and was just wonderful and from my point of view a great find. I hope that you find this wine as enjoyable as I have."
But then again he is trying to get us to buy it :)

Anyone tasted this before, its the 2002 vintage.

From the forbes.com wine club Brumby Canyon Jillaroo Red 2002 Blended Red The name requires another Australian-to-American English translation: A "brumby" is a wild Australian horse; a "jillaroo," a farm worker. Thankfully, this wine doesn't taste like anything you'd find in a stable: it offers very ripe black cherry flavors, with some black soil joining in on the finish. Beaujolais-sized in body, this Shriraz (60%), Grenache (33%), Mataro (7%) blend is an inexpensive, easy quaffer. — D.T. Hard to price in AUD but comes in at $12US a bottle on wholesale prices - $14 on retail so not bad value at Jacks.

I'll edit this deal as they've got this back out of sale but have included a case of Stockmans Post Semillon Chardonnay - which retails for $119 a case as well.
