Tip on getting lots of discount @ Bear & Duck ($10 off $25, $20 off $50 , $30 off $75, etc)

24 October 2007

I saw the codes that fairybelle posted for bear and duck, and tried a little expiriment which I think should work to save you some money there.

If you put a $25 gift voucher in your basket, you can then add one of the $10 discount vouchers below to make this a cost of $15. Even if you can only use the discount code once per account, there are a few working at the minute: alchemist, decadence, sweetorsavoury, so you should be able to carry out this process more than once, doing each order in a seperate transaction.

I haven't completed this yet as I don't need to buy anything. Does it work - please confirm below. Technically, this means you can get $10 off a $25 purchase, $20 off a $50 purchase, $30 off a $75 purchase, etc.

Then you can use the gift vouchers you have purchased to buy things, or even give them as gifts for Christmas. No-one needs to know you have paid less for them than they state!

I don't know if this is a loophole or not, so if you're interested, I'd say do it soon, as Bear & Duck could possibly update thier site so we cannot get this any more.

So happy to find this in the forum today you buy a $50 voucher - you can only get $10 off you buy 2 x $25 then you will get $50 for $30 but you could buy up to $60 worth of stuff using the $50 and the final $10 voucher. So you get $60 worth of stuff and pay $30 That right? Thanx thanx thanx Debz

So what you should do is buy a $25 voucher using ALCHEMIST, another $25 voucher using SWEETANDSAVOURY and then wait until next month when they bring out a new $10 voucher and use the gift vouchers and the new $10 voucher together on a $60 item.

Or give them to your hubby's email address or something, and he could use them on his account :whistling:

Hey I just checked the website and they have this clause that states that Gift vouchers cannot be combined with promotional vouchers for a purchase.

Did it say that before? Well, it's still working...
  • elegantegotist
No I mean you can't use a gift voucher with a promo voucher to buy something. You can only use a promo voucher to buy a gift voucher.
  • Emma EDITOR
Oh I see - for the actual purchase later on...
  • elegantegotist
    Yeppers :)

This sort of feedback will win you lots of brownie points keeys. Am sure everyone who participates around here appreciates it.

thanks but didn't do it for brownie points, I said it cause its true. I've only been a member for just over a month but I've so far had free items, extremly cheap items $3 BBQ untensil for example, to bargin items huge savings due to the people on buckscoop sharing their finds, not to mention the $17 cashback from just shopping as I would usually do and knowing that when I shop on ebay I'm helping others. Just wish I'd found buckscoop 11mths earlier lol :D

Now expired as all the vouchers do not work. For all those that benefited from this tip I think you should send a big thank you to Bear and Duck. They did not have to honour the purchases but in good faith they have. :)

What do you think?
