Taipei, Taiwan, September 24, 2008 – ASUS today announced that it will be adding 3.75G connectivity* to its hugely-popular series of Eee PC™ netbooks, enabling convenient and high-speed access to the Internet anytime, anywhere. The inclusion of 3.75G is a perfect addition to the Eee PC’s™ existing set of travel-friendly features such as its high portability, shockproof data storage and all-day battery life—strengthening its reputation as the ultimate solution for computing on the go.

Also the 1000h model is now shipped with a 160G hard disk rather than the 80Gb.

The features are getting better all the time

Nice! Wonder what the pricing would be like when the new models come out.

    I'll wait and see.. :D

Still want to get a new laptop for my little girl..hopefully a tiny/mini-sized one at a budget price.. :D

I'd rather carry my own modem than pay the ridiculous $/mb on 3.75G.

Asus 1000H is no longer being made. it is being replaced by the Asus S101 which is due to be released in Australia by mid Nov 2008. Its quite different, thinner and doesnt have a hard disk, instead has 64Gb SSD

Is it true that there's no real power saving with the solid state drives ? Pretty sure I read that somewhere recently.

I ended up buying an Asus 1000H with 160Gig HD for $668 from JB Hifi.

Really happy with my purchase! I'm currently using it while in bed hehe :D
