Vax QuickPower 9.6V handheld $49 @ Harvey Norman

In the current round of HarveyNorman sales they have a Vax QuickPower 9.6V handheld vacuum cleaner for only $49 - that's almost 40% off. Page 31 of their most recent Catalogue.

NOTE: HN Cannington did not have this item marked at the discounted price, but I asked a sales rep and they confirmed it in their catalogue that it is indeed $49 - like Toys'R'Us they also didn't receive their new sales info as quickly as the Eastern States

Cheapest I could find online was from ebay - $66 plus $11 shipping - this HN price was pretty good by comparison! :)

PS - the link doesn't work for me

I bought one last year They are pretty useless. You are better off buying a full size vacuum. Suction is poor.

We own a couple of full vacuums, and they're not appropriate for every task. Indeed, they can be a real PITA for several things that we need to do. My wife loves this little vax, and when I asked her how it worked when she tried it out she said "It's great, quite powerful" - that's an unprompted testimonial, she didn't know why I was asking, and I did not ask about the power. Perhaps it's just the Vax brand that does this better?
