TIP: Caution and advice on Ebay travel vouchers
I found some I liked the look of for use on the Gold Coast, then rang around the hotels/apartments to make sure they were legit. The two places I spoke to said they were, but the first didn't have a room for the period we wanted it.
The second, Regent Court <http://regentcourt.com.au/> confirmed it was legit and that they had an apartment available for the week we wanted - and further, they would give me the apartment for the same (voucher) price WITHOUT having to buy it for $30 from the Ebay seller.
We had a brilliant 5 day stay in an incredibly large 2 br apartment in Currumbin - full kitchen with dishwasher, own laundry with washing/dryer, share pool and BBQ... just fantastic. All for $69 a night - insane! Total charge was $349, and I am sure I don't have to tell anyone how incredibly cheap that is for even a single studio hotel room on the Gold Coast (or anywhere else!) let alone a 2 br apartment.
So - the caution is check before you buy off Ebay, and the advice is to ask if the vendor will match the price for you - saving you from the cost of the voucher.
Oh, I highly recommend Regent Court, btw.
***IGNORE BS Cashback!!! This isn't an Ebay deal - just a "tip" - not sure if there's a different way to 'file' it?***
