A US seller with free postage would be a better deal - what with the Aus/US dollar exchange at the moment!

I thought this had been posted here before?

I've ordered from them a few times (after hearing about them on a podcast) I paid under half what I would here without post!

Took about 3-6 weeks for the books to arrive

I ordered 3 books from them ( 2 uni textbooks that was not in stock anywhere in aus and a wilbur smith novel) on August 31. received all of them on Sept 10. Thats like only 8 working days!!
Plus I paid less than half the price of ordering them locally. Amazon was a few dollars cheaper on one of the books (and the other was not in stock!) but with postage and delivery time, not worth it for me.
Im very happy with this website. Im looking at ordering a few kids books as they are sooo cheap. (really cool sesame street books for about aus$8)

Thanks. Just ordered a couple of paperbacks.
Have had very good experience with royal mail, so should expect delivery in a week or so.

I order from these guys all the time, postage usually takes a week or so - excellent vallue for money:)

That's fantastic. I live 2000km from anywhere so freight is a huge factor and sometimes the postage ends up costing more than the item.
    Thanks heaps.

Just ordered 9 books ... all cheaper than what I can get here in oz & I still can't believe they're going to deliver them free. R they making any money?

The different pricing applied to books is interesting. When I was looking at Tim Wintons latest the other day it was a heck of a lot cheaper in the US and UK than in Aus. I guess they just price at the local market rate, which to some degree will be guaged on expected volume, although saying that I'd have thought Tim Winton would be a better seller in Aus than elsewhere.

I'm always amazed by these international sellers who ship for free! BangCD is another one. Their price isn't always right, but when it is, the free shipping makes it fantastic! :)

Books in Aus are almost always too expensive. I only buy from the bookstores when I want something Big W or K-Mart don't have.

Hi guys, i'm new to the forum - just wanted to say i also love this site. Bought four hard to find classics for a total of 25 pounds, delivered in just over a week. you just can't beat that. they do look like cheap paperbacks, not your nice old style covers, but still a great deal and service and good for getting your hands on hard to find books

    Welcome to Buckscoop Ange13 :flowers:
With the exchange rate still tipping in our favour it is a good time to be buying in the UK

We moved over from the UK just over 12 months ago and still buy all our DVDs from HMV in the UK. They charge £4.20 per DVD shipping charge but since we only buy boxsets, it works out very cheap especially the 49 dvd box set of 24!!! We also still buy the majority of our clothes from UK sellers on ebay as you can get some new M&S or Next clothes much cheaper than the high street and better quality than most Aus retailers.

:) not to mention you can get altogether funkier clothing dirt cheap over there.

Received one of my books today. Ordered on the 10th and in my hands on the 16th! Less than one week - unbelievable service.

It's even quicker than purchasing used books from Aussie ebay sellers and better priced too.

Excellent service, great savings to be made!

All the books I have looked up on booko.com.au The book depository has been the cheapest and the free shipping is excellent too!!

USed booko to find 3 books a couple of weeks ago.
Two were cheapest from Book Depository and delivered within one week (boy was I surprised) and the third was delivered overnight from oo.com.au.

I think Book Depository is fantastic.
