Safeway/Woolworths - Buy 2 Reams Double A Paper & get FREE $10 WISH Gift Card

Posted By: craftykiwi, posted 2008/05/23 20:16
At Safeway/Woolworths if you buy 2 reams of Double A paper you can claim a FREE $10 WISH Gift Card by filling in the claim form online, then printing it out and sending it with a copy of your receipt to Double A's address.

The paper at our store was priced at $6.30 a ream so with the $10 Wish card acting like a cashback you'd effectively get 2 reams for $2.60.

PLUS valid entries will go into the draw to WIN $10,000 towards your mortgage repayment or rent.

Note:-
* Valid on purchases from Monday 19 May to Sunday 1 June, 2008
* Entry forms must be fully completed and received by 5pm AEST Friday 13 June, 2008.

Thanks Crafty :) I love the only two per person per day clause - stock up on paper for the office and do your shopping :whistling: :D

I actually need paper and am going near a woolworths on Monday so thanks :)

I'll buy 4 and get hubby to get 4 stash them away and use the wish cards towards fuel ;)
  • voteoften2008/05/23 23:46:00
I'll be hitting that every day.
  • craftykiwi2008/05/24 07:49:26
Just make sure you send off your claim forms ASAP as they need to be received by Double A in NSW by June 13th.
  • Keeys2008/05/24 09:59:50
and there is a public holiday on the 9th so loose a mail day :(
  • leny2008/05/24 11:14:38
That is great. Any quality reports on "Double A"?
  • leny2008/05/24 11:19:47
I mean reports on the quality of Double a. :o

I think I read somewhere they were rated AA.

Found these comments (supposedly from 2 different independent sources):-
    1. Smooth paper surface makes sharp printing and copying.
    2. Two-sided usage gives the paper sheet high opacity.
    3. Bright Appearance gives high print contrast to the printing.
    4. Sharp cutting edges prolongs performance of copying machine.
    5. Anti-curl quality reduces paper jams in the copier.
    6. Low dust content minimizes copier running cost.
    7. Moist protected wrapper

    Plus 'Green' Features:-
Double A, making its paper from farmed eucalyptus trees in Thailand, which originated from Australia, was found to be the most environmentally sound of all eight papers tested.
    # Save natural rainforest - Double A uses pulp from plantations of fast growing trees. This helps preserve the natural forests.
    # Save water - Advanced technology minimizes the amout of water used during the bleaching process by using only 6-7 m3/ton whereas others use up to 80 m3/ton.
    # Save the Environment - Instead of using elementary chlorine, Double A uses the environmentally friendly ECF process to bleach pulp.

Bought 2 packs this morning but haven't opened them yet as still have some other paper to finish off. But for 2 reams for effectively $1.30 each (after getting WISH card back) don't think we can really go wrong.
  • leny2008/05/24 12:07:10
    Sounds good. :D

You can just go back tomorrow and use your wish card to buy more. :D

No leny you can't, the wish card gets posted out to you, which is a shame.

    BTW: Our woolies SOLD OUT!!

By the way, where did this deal come from? It's strange that it's not in the catalogue.
  • craftykiwi2008/05/24 14:11:08
Just happened to see it when I was doing my shopping yesterday. Saw the info forms attached to the rack where the paper was stacked at the end of an isle, and then found the whole promo thing on the A4 paper website.

Oh ok. :D Maybe they could do a little more advertising on it.
  • craftykiwi2008/05/24 16:56:28
Leny, just checked the online catalogue for one of our closest stores here in Vic and it's in there - top of page 12.
  • lilpretzel2008/05/24 17:08:34
    Our woolies SOLD OUT!!

How rude, I told hubby to complain to his boss
  • craftykiwi2008/05/24 17:23:43
I suppose they're not really on special otherwise you could ask for a raincheck (assuming they got more stock before June 1st ??

We've still got some down here so maybe you need (??) another shopping trip to Melbourne to stock up!
  • leny2008/05/24 18:39:03
It's not in the QLD. Is anyone in QLD able to confirm that this special is on?
  • voteoften2008/05/24 20:31:04
Bought 4 today at Garden City WA $6.30 per ream. seemed to have a full shelf of stock, but if everyone buys 4 reams, it could run out v quick, unless they restocl throughout the day.
  • leny2008/05/24 20:36:53
Cheers for saying Garden City WA, voteoften, because otherwise I would have assumed Garden City in QLD. :)

  • leny2008/05/25 15:19:16
That could be true. :D I don't have it with me now, but that must be the case.

    I bought some today.
  • holdenmg2008/05/27 12:57:46
Ironic how you buy the paper (on plastic?) you get a receipt (paper) then on the claim procedure you find out you have to post the receipt and printed claim form, paper envelope/stamp.
Aaaagh, why not have a completely online system running rebates to paypal?

    Good deal :+)
  • leny2008/05/27 16:51:13
Why is it ironic? Do they say anything about conservation?

See my post #10 on page one of this deal.

As an aside saw a guy loading up with his 4 reams for today at the supermarket and he said he was very happy with them having used them previously, so got another 2 reams for us while I was there.
Saw that they were slightly cheaper at Officeworks in their current catalogue but this $10 Wishcard deal is only for purchases at Safeway more's the pity.
  • Keeys2008/05/27 19:53:00
I have never used this paper before and by no means am an expert but our last lot was reflex, I like this paper better my printer printed better.

I only bought 2 the other day because they didn't have any more. I'm going to another store on my way to Sydney on Friday to see if they have some...wish me luck :)
  • admin2008/05/28 08:12:05
    Luck......
  • Michelle21542008/05/28 08:18:15
For anyone interested, we've always used this paper and never had a problem and our printer is pretty fussy, so i can recommend trying it.

hrm.. anyone knows if this deal is still on in Victoria?
I just checked this week's catalogue online and can't find this deal...
    I probably missed out :(
  • craftykiwi2008/05/30 15:16:45
Yes Queenshrew it is still on in Victoria but you need to buy the paper by June 1st (Sunday) to get the Wish card back. Sometimes they are at the end of an aisle or they'll be in the stationery section if they have any left.
  • craftykiwi2008/05/30 19:15:49
Just posted a deal to Harvey Norman's 3 Day Sale this weekend for Canon A4 Paper for $3.98 if you can't find the Double A at a Safeway store near you (although the deal's not showing up on Buckscoop for me for some reason - maybe a glitch but if you find it let me know where it's gone).
  • Gallifrey2008/06/19 00:10:13
RECEIVED my $10 Wish Card today, thanks :D
  • craftykiwi2008/06/19 07:07:37
Good to hear. Seems pretty quick. Hope that means my two will be arriving any day too.
  • craftykiwi2008/06/23 12:29:53
Received my 2 Wishcards today. Funny I sent both receipts off in the same envelope and they sent back the Wishcards in 2 different envelopes.
Suppose it's too hard to track that there are more than one for a particular household and save money by posting all together! But then again it's their money not mine.
