Return flights to Europe from $1654.95 inc. taxes - Christmas Break 2008

I have gone through some fares and have found some great ones. I did not however go through all the dates to give you the exact ones as to when you can fly in or out - if you are actually going to fly, PM me for any help. I do actually have the qualifications of a travel agent, so I can also help you out with any accommodation, insurance or layover questions. Ask for any clarification. These dates are approximate.
I recommend searching http://www.statravel.com.au as they will likely offer you the best deals.
You are likely to be paper ticketed on these fares. This is not too different to E-tickets - and you still get frequent flyer points. The only difference is that they may be difficult to replace if lost.
On some Korean Air flights, you may have an overnight layover. If you book a return trip and there is one layover altogether, this will be covered by Korean Air. If there is a layover on both the outbound and inbound leg, Korean Air will only cover one. See below for the details. Korean Air flights are available to everyone, while the really cheap Etihad and Malaysian ones are only available to travellers under 26 or students over 15. I suspect that these fares will stay up for a while so you may have a while to decide.

There are some that you are able to get somewhat mid-december for the flight out, but not too far in. I'm guessing that you would have to stay close to a month to fly for the $1700.

I meant to say, not too far into December. Flying back to Australia can be in the beginning of january, but again, probably not within the first 3 days of January.

Darn good price for full service Airline fare!!

With Oil prices going the way they are that is only going to look cheaper by the week IMHO

    Got that right Wally.

This didn't get an overwhelming response but it is a fare that you are unlikely to see ever again (full service). Crappy airlines will soon start flying to Europe for around this price. You will have to buy your own food and it will probably be sandwiches and $10 beer.

I can see budget airlines with no food on the short haul but still cant reconcile how they'd do on the long haul stuff. Its a bit of a different thing.

What don't you see admin. You will be able to buy food, drinks and flight kits on board. Passengers will also be able to order them online with some airlines.
