ahhhh - Ryan Air did something similar to this in the Rugby a while back. I cant quite remember how it turned out for them. Ta for that lilpretzel - I'm needing to get a couple of tickets - this might be worth a punt.

Speaking about the AFL GF, this AD by Getup (an independent, grass roots community advocacy group) have raised money to show this ad during the AFL GF and leading up to the federal election.

The Ad is a spoof of the govenment's Climate Clever ads. You can watch the ad by clicking here or on TV very soon.

It's a bit of a laugh about a serious issue.
  • nod2007/09/27 17:29:12
A very good cause. Thanks for posting the link MillerJ
I am not sure how many people will actually pay too much attention to the ad when the footy is on but I guess they will get eyeballs.
  • lilpretzel2007/09/27 19:19:48
Fingers x admin the site doesn't have a melt down after the last big deals ;)

Wouldn't mine a trip to Cairns or Melbourne :)
  • Wally2007/09/29 12:21:06
    Thanks for the info

Either way, I'm gunna be like a 'Bolt of lightning' or 'pouncing like a Cat' onto Jetsar's website early Sunday
  • Wally2007/09/29 17:35:21
OMG they need to apply the 'Mercy' rule!!

Otherwise the Cats will make the tickets tooo exspensive!!
  • nod2007/09/29 18:24:55
Now that was an embarassing effort by the Adelaide team :D

I don't think the tickets will be too expensive - we were listening to the Roy and Hg commentary, so we did not get a lot of info :D
  • nod2007/09/29 18:40:21
:D - whats the deal - do you have to be online at a set time tomorrow morning and its first in best dressed ?
  • lilpretzel2007/09/29 19:34:58

Fares to selected Jetstar destinations in Australia will be priced based on the number of goals scored by the winning team out of Geelong and Port Adelaide.

Jetstar will offer a thousand sale seats for each goal scored by the winning team.

    So is it 24,000 tickets @ $24?

No email yet so if anybody has more info could they please post them.

I'll hate to wait until midnight only to find out they're not released until the morning :)
  • admin2007/09/29 19:42:51

Well maybe the laugh is also "an independent, ....."

And maybe this is not the place for political positioning.

Never changed a friends vote, just changed a friend...
