PayPal's most valued customers are invited take part in a very rewarding special offer. From 2 Nov 09 to 2 Dec 09, you could earn 20% of your purchases as cashback just for using PayPal when you shop online.

It's just a little thanks from us, to you.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Register your email address in the space provided above to sign-up for cashback rewards when paying with PayPal
2. PayPal will review your purchases that occurred between 3 Nov 09 and 2 Dec 09 and reward you with 20% of your total purchase value (up to a maximum cashback of $100) back in your PayPal account
3. Cashbacks will be processed into eligible PayPal accounts before 7 Jan 09
4. The maximum cashback amount is limited to $100 per PayPal account

IMPORTANT RULE: 5. This promotion is valid only for intended recipients. Customers who did not receive the email for this promotion are not eligible for cashback.

I think there is no restriction on shops.

@ salemy & frogduck - yeah I posted the last cashback deal from Paypal. I don't think it worked for many people....I think it was taken off in the end

I just registered my email addy and it said this if it helps:

    "Thanks for registering!

You're now all set to start earning 20% cashback rewards when paying with PayPal up until 2 Dec 09. Your reward will be automatically credited to your PayPal account before 7 Jan 09. Start earning rewards now! Check out these great deals - available exclusively for PayPal members."

It's up to the member if they decide to try their luck with this offer if no email is received ;)

Just gave paypal a ring, they said the offer is legitimate but I would need to contact the merchants because there are terms and conditions involved with it.

Doesn't really answer the question of whether I'm eligible haha, I think the lady didn't really know what I was talking about because it sounded like she wasn't from Australia and also there was fuzzy reception.

EDIT: I just read through the site, and the examples they gave are 10% discount if im not wrong. Now i'm confused as to whether its 20% or 10% cashback :(

hi, I am VERy dubious about paypal promotion, especially this one, just ordered that laptop from catch of the day and rang them to ensure that it tracks for this promotion, spoke to THREE paypal representatives, NONE of them knew of this promotion, they even as much told me that THERE OWN website could be a fake website.

I think that there is bucklies of ANY of these paypal promos get paid out. I am keeping all of my info and just go to ACCC if they dont, it is crazy

    Got $100, nice.
Makes my ipod touch a real bargain:

Purchased $500 JBHifi giftcard online, 10% paypal cashback.
JBHifi instore price-match Ipod 10% off
    Now $100 cashback from paypal.

My 64G ipod touch works out to be roughly $350!!! Happy days.
  • frogduck2010/01/07 19:20:24
I lost track of what my $100 was :) i know about $50 was my camera lens (bargain! ahah) but the rest was probably random things since i splurge a lot :(
  • MamaK2010/01/07 19:28:23
I got $100 too and I also thought it was a scam as I didn't think I'd spent enough to qualify. Not complaining though!
  • Victorious2010/01/07 21:19:17
    I got $13 cashback. I wish I knew I was eligible, I'd have bought more stuff :)
