    Virgin are great marketers. I read this and thought.... awesome..... you could win it and go ballistic.

    But then I read the terms and conditions.

    The process of selecting a winner is a little funny. They first shortlist candidates, then make them send in the detail of what they would do / consume on the day. This is BEFORE selecting a winner - which obviously gives them a chance to pre-vet.

    If you win, on the day your given a credit card so everything you consume must be buyable on card.

    You need to pass a police check.

    And now the fine print.

    These sorts of things are ok to 'consume'

    14. Goods and services that are acceptable to the Promoter for redemption on the Prize Acceptance Day may include goods and services of the following classes:

    food and beverages; domestic or international travel; leisure activities; accommodation; entertainment services; car/limousine hire; other hire arrangements; and any other goods or services considered by the Promoter to be suitable for the promotion in its sole discretion.

    While this stuff is prohibited. Am chuckling away at excluding the possibility of hiring from family and friends.

    Certain goods and services are prohibited from redemption on the Prize Acceptance Day, as set out in the following classes:

    purchase of a motor vehicle or any other type of vehicle; real estate; plastic surgery or any medical procedure; fire arms;
    purchase of any animals or marine life; monetary charitable donations; gambling or purchase of lottery tickets; repayment of any debt to any company or persons; tips and give-aways;
    any goods or service that may reasonably be able to be used by the winner after the Prize Acceptance Day; goods or services for any person other than the winner and the winner’s nominated companion(s) and any other persons pre-authorised by the Promoter;
    financial or legal advice; goods and services obtained from an Entrant’s Immediate Family and/or an Entrant’s friend/s; and goods and services which are illegal under the Laws of any relevant Australian jurisdiction, and goods and services considered by the Promoter to be inappropriate, offensive, unsuitable, unfavourable or contrary to the best interests of the Promoter or the Take It To Unlimited with the Vodafone 24 Hour Experience.
    Whether certain goods and services are prohibited is at the absolute discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision in this regard is final and no correspondence will be entered into. For the purposes of this clause, “Immediate Family” means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de- facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step- sister or first cousin.

    Soooo - still a great idea for a competition - but on a close look it wasnt the awesome thing I thought it was.
