Not bad at all! The webcams are pretty basic, the laptop coolers have fairly limited use for most people (other than older or high-spec laptops, most new laptops run fairly cool nowadays), the headset has some pretty damning reviews.... but the mouse and the keyboard/mouse combos (in particular the MK260 which I think is relatively new) seem decent enough. Hot from me....
  • MamaK2011/01/30 19:52:01
Thank you for this! I really need a cooling pad for our older laptop. How did you find out about the 5 per household? I can't seem to find any more information than what is in the link

    Thanks Leveshan!

It's mentioned at the bottom of the rebate page MamaK - http://www.logitechcashback.com.au/

One thing to note is that you would need to get in very quick. You will not be eligible for the 100% Logitech rebate if you purchase from their online store - it needs to be from a traditional store :)

does this work if you buy online from somewhere like Dick Smith? MK250 is $35 inc shipping

Although looking at it the Dick Smith deal with free shipping expires today but the logitech offer only starts tomorrow

No - according to the 'rules' [internet purchases are ineligible] it appears you need to buy from a physical shop itself. But you could always use the dse website (or other sites that show stock, eg bigw.com.au) to confirm if your local store has stock of the specific item you are after to save a wasted trip.
  • Rebekah762011/01/31 22:03:09
from experience with Dick Smith - don't even trust the online bit to confirm if your local has the stock. We checked online, then called, then got to the store and were told by the guy at the counter that what we wanted was in stock - but after 1/2 hour of searching, he gave up and told us we would have to try elsewhere (but he offered to call them to make sure they had some in stock - which he did) BUT when we got to the other store - they couldn't find their stock either!!! :-)

....the guy at the counter that what we wanted was in stock - but after 1/2 hour of searching, he gave up....

Had similar experience some time back, although after the first giy gave up someone else in the store said 'hang on' and had a search and found it. I suspect that the issue may be the way they store things 'in the back' rather than stock levels being out of whack. Anyhow, I usually assume if it's showing as out of stock, then they don't have it. If it's showing as being in stock then they probably have it, athough there is a chance that whatever 'it' is has been sold out before I get there or (in particular if it's small) they won't be able to find it. At least I know not to even bother if it's out of stock... ;)

Wow. Just checked the website and the cash pool is down to $200k. So a third has gone in one and a half hours. At this rate it will be closed by lunchtime today!
  • vipulrm2011/02/01 11:15:03
My counter seems to be stuck at $162,536.02 for quiet some time now. Is this just me or have people really stopped claiming?
  • vipulrm2011/02/01 11:29:34
    It's moving again, folks.
  • ninkasi2011/02/01 11:53:16
Popped down to the local DSE and grabbed some mice and a couple of those laptop cooler things (the kids have some older laptops in our games area, so might be good for them). There were no keyboard/mouse combos left (would have preferred one of those), and no webcams (no great loss there). They had the headsets, but decided against them - they looked pretty small so I suspect would be fine with a small head, so ok for my kids, but other reviews had also noted that as well as being uncomfortable they also broke. The reviewers might have just been unlucky, but I could live without 'em.

Got my claim in 30 mins ago with $160K left. There's now $127k.... at this rate will be gone by 1:30pm EST. Bit of a bummer for our WA bretheren - they'll have about an hour to get to a shop, buy, and register.....
  • ninkasi2011/02/01 11:55:48
The cynical part of me thinks that there will be a few Logitech products on eBay in a day or so... ;-)
  • ninkasi2011/02/01 12:24:34
As of 12:24pm EST it's now at $91k. If anyone else has issues with the site, close your browser and reopen.... your flash player has probably gone snafu.... gosh how I love flash... ;-)
  • ninkasi2011/02/01 13:43:55
Sometime before 1:40pm EST it ran out. Congrats to anyone who managed to register in time!
  • vipulrm2011/02/01 13:51:17
I managed to get a wireless keyboard mouse combo and a headphone :)
  • Rebekah762011/02/01 14:14:35
got mine in on time. took the laptop and wireless broadband in the car with me - thought I was being a bit paranoid - but apparently not!!

They are already on ebay. I got the mouse and keyboard combo for $49 (which I thought was cheap anyway), and someone is selling it for $76!!
  • MamaK2011/02/01 23:02:02
I got mine in around 11am, man this went fast! Officeworks had lots of stock and at much cheaper prices than DSE and others

Rebekah- the MK250 was only $34 at OW

I got mine from Hardly Normal and they were $34 as well. The good thing is that it doesn't matter what it cost - even if it cost you $100, you got it all back anyway. Win-win!

I guess if you paid less, it used less of the $300k so more people got to claim it.
  • Rebekah762011/02/02 14:56:45
what a successful campaign though... very quick way to clear out the old stock - and there must be plenty of people who will buy over the next month only to discover it is all gone when they put in their claim.

Now - just have to remember to send in our receipts people!!
  • vipulrm2011/03/08 11:22:20
Has anybody received the cashback yet?
  • ninkasi2011/03/08 12:57:57
Nope. Need to go to http://www.logitechcashback.com.au/ to confirm if everything has been received. In my case it's showing as "Your claim has been received and validated. Please allow up to 28 days from the date your claim was validated for your refund to be processed." So I submitted my claim on 1/2, allowing a week for the receipt to get to them and be processed, that means might be getting the refund soon.....
  • vipulrm2011/03/08 13:46:18
Mine says the same too. Guess we'll just have to wait, eh?
  • Rebekah762011/03/08 19:50:16
I got an email saying all had been received and that was on 14th Feb. It says to allow 28 days, so start harrassing in another week if you haven't heard anything I reckon.
  • voteoften2011/03/09 03:46:29
I received my $155 or $157 about 10 days ago. They sent an email letting me know they had paid. They then sent a letter last week with my receipt. I posted my docs the same or next day via registered mail from Perth.
  • vipulrm2011/03/09 09:57:01
Just spoke to some one on their help line and they said I'll need to wait a couple more weeks to see my refund :(
  • Rebekah762011/03/12 13:59:45
mine just arrived in my bank yesterday
  • vipulrm2011/03/13 12:13:58
Mine arrived on Friday too. But like Rebekah76 and voteoften mentioned, I didn't get any email. Well, as long as I got the money...
  • ninkasi2011/03/15 17:47:46
