If you're antivirus subscription is due for renewal, one of the above could be a good option.

Feel free to post your thoughts on the different IS packages. I currently use Norton IS, but it is pretty resource hungry and not as customisable as I'd like it to be - so might try CA next time.

Yea, Norton slow my computer down so much I have to give it a pass. Despite its downside, it is doing a good job blocking some annoying banner ads. in addition to popup.

Thanks enthusiast. Have you been out looking for a new package?

I was a nortons fan until I saw how bloated its become. In between a rock and a hard place on whats best at the moment.

Dont know much about the CA version?

I just noticed the deal and thought I'd post it in case anyone was looking for that package...

However, I've just read some reviews, and CA might not be the best one to get:

Maybe just stick with Norton IS 2007 or another package that works for you!

I went to the basic Norton's IS and it is a still a power hungry bloated piece of %*&%^$&*&^

The scans used to take forever and then get stuck and you could not get rid of the stupid thing.

I dont like the way that the internet security products have integrated to try and cover off browsing, mail server and viruses. They get annoying. They also have implications for a site like this when it comes to the cookies that we need to be able to track transactions.

I can understand why they've done it. Probably more of a threat these days from email and browsing.

I have popped up an edit, well warning in the original deal as Enthusiast was a bit worried about the CA security system. He very kindly wanted everyone to know that the new CA security has caused a lot of heartache for people and he did not want us all buying it on his deal recommendation
Very nice of you Enthusiast :flowers:

So if you are interested in the cashback offer, please ensure that you read the reviews linked above ... you may be getting a lemon
