    Again with the cold votes without explanation....
  • scatman002007/11/14 20:54:29
    Okay coming clean, there was a cold vote not votes. Just that mine counts :o Reason being that i didn't think the posting of a "standard" deal in this case was worthy of a warm or hot. Keeping in mind that i actually did purchase this prior to seeing it here.

    And i have voted accordingly for others, definitely not a personal thing :flowers:
  • nod2007/11/14 20:56:57
    lol
    so you bought it but then voted it cold?
    if it is warm enough to buy then why the cold vote? :D

    Buyers Remorse :p

    So what did you get in the bag Scatman00?
  • scatman002007/11/14 21:25:49
    Of course that is a pre-emptive reply.... right nod ;) .... but.... i will let you know in a weeks time :D
  • nod2007/11/14 23:07:14

  • Bargrin2007/11/21 03:07:24
    I just got my box today....

    I will let you decide if i got myself a "deal"

    14 items for $29.95 + $9.95 post less 1.60 cash back = $38.30:

    * Matthew Burke Biography: Rugby life
    * Kevin Sheedy Footy Tivia DVD
    * GE Key pad controlled Motion Senor Alarm
    * Mini-hand held vacum (runs on 2x AA battries)
    * BBQ Temp fork
    * Ready to light BBQ (cooking tray with coal)
    * A quartz mini alarm clock
    * Another alarm clock that changes colour
    * Another clock this time bulit into a desk pen holder with a temp reader
    * A mini tourch key chain extender (it has a retractable rope thing at the end)
    * Weather proof Krypton Lantern/torch
    * knock-off of a Swiss Pen knife
    * Very mini Time Out choclate bar

    And the thing I will proabably make most use of...

    * an emtpy plastic packet for a mini portable radio, I am guessing the radio fell out when they were packing it.

    I have contacted them about the empty radio packet, lets see what they say...so far though most of the stuff seems......wait.... I think I will reserve my final judgment on what reply they send me about the missing radio.

    laughing my butt off... I was reading your list thinking .... "there's gotta be something useful in there". I guess at least you could blow the plastic bag up and pop it.

    Know anyone with kids ?

    So was it worth the cash Scatman00?
  • nod2007/11/21 09:56:35
    Sorry Elegant but I dont think it looks like $40 worth :eek:
  • scatman002007/11/21 10:14:50
    I'd say mine was worth the cash, not much i can use, but with xmas so close it is so easy o give away the junk :o
  • lilpretzel2007/11/21 11:13:25
    Gee my opinion what a load of rubbish, they should be giving this crap away!

    $38 will get you better value at the cheap shops :cool:

    This place just seems to be off loading rubbish to customers, I'm still waiting on my refund after 1 month on a non working flashing shirt.

    :whistling:

    Its very very smart marketing. If you put an ad up for the items that you get in the box I imagine you'd have a hard time getting people to pay anything for it. But market it as a mega goodie box and voila.

    you actually want to wear it !! :D
  • lilpretzel2007/11/21 17:16:49
    No not me, it was a present for Miss 14 to wear to the Sneaky Sound System concert

    :)
  • Bargrin2007/11/22 03:17:52
    looking at the photo above I didnt think others people crap would look so much better than mine!! :p

    But good news is COD replied and said no problems about the radio they will send one straight away to me as soon as I buy somthing else off them. :w00t:

    Other thing was in the comments of my Mystrey box order I said please dont resend BBQ stuff cause I just bought it from them couple days ago but they sent it anyway. They tell me they dont take any notice of the comments field in the order and just pull random products off the shelves.

    But look the great news is I was able to off load the Kevin Sheedy DVD for $10 so my crap now only really cost me $28. Yeah!!! :D
    Now if I could only find someone dumb enough as myself to buy an empty radio box ;)

    FINAL VEDICT: MEGABOX OF CRAP
